A toddler fighting for his life this morning, police say his six year old brother got his hands on a gun, shot him, while no adults were around. We dont have an updated condition yet this morning. But we do know that he was shot in the face as you mentioned by his six year old brother, this was by accident according to police who tell us that they received a 911 call yesterday, just after 3 00. A neighbor reporting a toddler was shot inside after home on the 3600 block of north 18th street. Once officers arrived, they found brothers ages 12, six and three, inside the home alone, they say somehow they got their hands on a gun and it fired while the six year old was holding it. A bullet struck the three year old in the forehead, and he was returned to temple hospital. A neighbor tells fox 29 that the boys parent are usually home, she says the boys are sweet, good children. People on the block were surprised and deeply upset to hear what happened. I seen him the other day. I havent seen them today. So to come home to hear about this is very disturbing, and i hope and pray that, you know, hes going to be all right. He dont know no better. But who ever brung the gun in the house, theyre going to pay for it. All i know, theyre sweet kids. And police held the scene through last night. They spent hours collecting evidence to try to piece it altogether. Later today, we expect to learn more about whether or not charges will be filed in this case. Lauren . A toddler fighting for his life this morning, police say his six year old brother got his hands on a gun, shot him, while no adults were around. Police tell us that they responds today a home on north 18th street after receiving a 911 call yesterday saying that a child had been shot apparently by his six year old brother accidentally according to police. Once officers arrived they found brothers ages 12, six and three, inside the home alone. They somehow got their hands on a gun and it fired while the of year old was holding it. A bullet struck the three year old in the forehead. He was rushed to the hospital. And a neighbor tells fox 29 news the boys parent are usually home. She says the boys are sweet, good children. Feel on the block were surprised and deeply upset to hear what happened. I seen them the other day. I havent seen them today. So to come home to hear about this is very disturbing.
