This is a tense situation up in Northampton County. This is kind of a continuation from yesterday, when a 61 yearold man was shot to death and woman suffered multiple gunshot wounds. This happened yesterday evening in lehigh township and the gun man, you know, he wasnt found yesterday. Police have been looking for him. They looked at a home to try to find him in a home. He wasnt there. Then they found his pickup truck. They tried to stop the pickup truck and that is when this situation happened and unfolded. Now they have a standoff situation with whom they believe is the gun man from yesterday. Apparently calling newspaper it is called morning call so the Lehigh Township Police chief scott fogel said this 61 yearold man whose last name is hann fatally shot somebody yesterday. So he is involved in this standoff, in bethlehem township, so attempted to stop his vehicle, as they said alex after he left his home in are and according to Police Scanner reports the truck, black pickup truck failed to stop but was quickly surrounded by Law Enforcement that you see right now. Police radio reported officers had their weapons drawn and this guy with the last name ha nn would not surrender to them. Even yesterday, when they were looking for him they described him as armed, dangerous, so, they do have him cornered and you can see, it looks like it is pretty tense. Lets give you the exact location it is at intersection of oakland and hecktown road as well as oakland and sandy road. There is schools right there. Youve got Freedom High School east hills middle school. And bethlehem area votech, so they are all on lock down. Some kid are already in the schools.
