A spokesperson for the district tonight says the src isnt commenting at this time. Harrisburg said they had a fix to make our schools all right, 15 years later, no solution is in Sight Community leader, teachers and parents of chirp in the district pack the first src school year. To send a message through song closing schools and budget cuts and many other woes they came to tell the School Reform commission that their time is up. Src was put in place 16 years ago taking control away from the Philadelphia School district putting it into the hands of the state. The coalition our city our schools wants the src abolished. We have no way to hold them accountable for what they do. We have no say in how many Charter Schools there are and whether or not schools are open or closed. Tamir harper is a senior and student. The 60yearold army veteran died at einstein hospital today. He was on duty when his colleagues rushed him to the hospital earlier this month. Lieutenant green serve the department and our city for 23 years. His unit received honors in 2007 for helping saving two people from a fire in brewery town. Funeral arrangements are pending. A former Pennsylvania State trooper plead guilty in the death of his pregnant wife. And their newborn daughter. 36yearold Joseph Paul Miller said he was cleaning his gun when he accidentally shot his wife joanna in the head.
