More than 12 hours after this water main broke, crews are working to repair main and subsequent sinkhole. Sky fox was over the scene at toll up and huntington streets in kensington, the the intersection and a few neighboring blocks remain closed this morning. The Philadelphia Water Department is working to repair a 12inch leak on the the water main which caused a massive sinkhole. Initial call came in at 3 00 yesterday afternoon and People Living and work in the area say they saw it happened and they are surprised yet relieved no one was hurt. I was looking over and water was just gushing up. Another guy was with me and he called it in. Guy named paul. I dont know his last name. He was doing work on my house. Come out and wait will for the the 39. He said boy, that will be dangerous. The water was coming out from the ground but i guess it has been leaking for a long time, inside the ground, already gone. The shooting has stopped for a moment at least over in kensington after four shooting his in one day, two on this very same street, and this second one, for sure, detectives say this morning, in retaliation for the the first and the three people shot with two different caliber guns firing nine rapid fire drive by scattered shot missed their intended target with all nine but hit these two men and one woman who likely and like a lot of people were outside at 6 00 just enjoying the summer before sunset. We have numerous witnesses and witnesses said that one of the shooters was in a gold minivan, and the shooter was actually standing up, and his upper body was coming out of the sun roof and he was firing an assault rifle, in the direction of all three victims. All three victims were in front of the private residence, in the 2800 block when they were shot. We dont know which of the three, if any of the three or all three were targeted or if any of them were struck by stray bullets. They were in front of the house. My friend was standing at the stairs. My cousin sitting next to her. Im sorry, next to the stairs. All i heard was a shootout. So i went down and started running down the stairs because i knew my son and cousin was outside. When i go outside i see my son trying to come in and he said to me, he got shot in the stomach. Im over here like, call 911, call the ambulance. So my cousin started to call the ambulance. Twentyfive yearold Steven Scherer had his First Court Appearance via video monitor. Prosecutors say he sent Chelsea Odonnell a nude picture when she was just 17. Legionella bacteria was found in hot Water Systems in nine buildings on campus. Hot water was shut off while remediation was done over the weekend, it included super chlorination of the hot water system. University spokesperson says testing done after remediation shows no signs of that bacteria and there is in threat to students or faculty. We are probably one of the most safe places in pennsylvania at the this point because we know what we have. Many places just dont test. We will go through some permanent testing protocols to develop that, know where we stand and know when and where we have to remediate anything if that should occur in the future. Legionella bacteria was found in campus cooling towers since july but since then the university has been doing regular testing. Rutgers hired three Cyber Security firms to protect Computer Networks as hackers attacked four times during the pennsylvania past four years. Companies will test the universitys network for vulnerabilities, new jerseys flagship State University expected to spend two and three milliondollar in Cyber Security this year alone.
