Thats where frantic search for survivors is underway after those heavy rains triggered powerful mudslides. This is all happening in the same area that went up in names during decembers massive wildfires so far the slides have been blamed for more than a dozen deaths and more are still missing. Waves of mud fueled by heavy rains crash into residential areas of southern california. I would say its apocalyptic. The run off brought debris cascading down from areas scorched last months wildfires without vegetation to absorb the water those charred lands left lowlying areas vulnerable to flooding and mudslides. Even large boulders were pushed down the hillsides rupturing a gas line and sparking fires at several homes. Other houses were washed away or completely destroyed. I cant quite believe it. Crews spent much of tuesday rescuing people stuck in the mud including one teenager trapped up to her neck for hours. Dozens more had to be pulled out by helicopter. Homeowners were away for several weeks and then they came back and they actually found a cot in their living room, their home trashed, burglarized. And evidently by more than one person. Now, we looked into some court documents, and it appears he did the same thing to a home in hyattsville in 2,016. Basically broke in, ransacked it and his Court Records show hes been arrested mull pell times in the past including an arrest by Border Patrol in 2,015 but he was able to post bail each time and walk free despite an ice detainer. I was so shocked when i saw it. I still, when i hear something i start shaking. How many more boriss there are in the system . I think the question is, where do we draw the line . Well, i think, um, for all these people, its great for the audience to get to see exactly what they are leaving behind had they do their job, and there are incredible waits in all the lives of these characters you get to see that that hopefully humanizes them your not just looking at it some woman with a head set on or some guy in Firefighter Police you know uniform. Theyre people too and got their own problems but theyre dropping them for you. On this show its interesting to see how the baton gets passed from the 911 operator to Law Enforcement or to the Fire Department and all of those things that lead up to somebody getting wheeled into an emergency room and its also a lot of fun.
