If you look back at the history of the committee, the first year they told you the data point was a huge factor and the championship won and why ohio state went and tcu and baylor stayed at home and didnt have the big 13th game in the big 12 at that point. Then headtohead in a championship and Michigan State over talented Ohio State Team and defending national champion, ezekiel elliott. That was a great Ohio State Team that didnt have a great resume so Michigan State went because they had the championship, they had the headtohead win.
