I have always believed that the people of alabama had more in common than than to divide you. Im not sure theres going to be a recount to be honest. I think hes holding on to that but really the voters chose doug jones, and it was a crazy race but he pulled through in the e end. Its crazy when you go through and you look at the break down of voters and where it was. What did you see that stood out to you as far as who helped who elect doug jones. I mean, hands down africanamerican voters came out in massive masses and really i think swayed the election in a way they havent since obama did when he was electioned in 2008. So they were a huge part of that. I also think that especially africanamerican women came out in big numbers as well. So they really helped boost doug jones to the final. Women in general had a very strong showing in the election as you might expect with what we had heard leading up to the election day yesterday. The one other stat that stood out to me when it came to the ages of voter. Right. Those under the age of 44 overwhelmingly voting for the democrat in this race. Those over 44 over 65 overwhelmingly for roy moore. Right. Quite the break down when it came to just the age of the voters in alabama. Completely. Its actually pretty remarkable to see. I mean you dont normally see so many young voters as well, um, coming out in such big numbers for this. I think with everything that was going on with roy moore, it was really an important election that made everyone want to go to the polls and vote and make sure they got their voice heard. Quite divisive. Lets take look at the tweets right now. We heard from the president last night. We heard from the president again this morning. Lets start with last night. President trump tweeting congratulations to doug jones on hard fought victory. The write in votes played a very big factor but is a win is a win the people of alabama are great and the republicans will have another shot at this seat in very short period of time it never ends. First of all that does not sound like the tone of the tweets weve heard from the president recently. Did he write that tweet. I think he had concede a bit. I mean, this is the second person he lost to in alabama that he endorsed. So he had to show that. But as you saw this morning he kind of came voices came through in another tweet this morning. Lets talk about that and show what the president tweeted this morning. Saying. The reason i originally endorsed Luther Strange and his numbers went up mightingly i said roy moore will not be able to win the general election. I was right. Roy worked hard but the deck was stacked against him. So now the president this morning basically claiming victory for himself saying, look, this is why i backed Luther Strange all along because i didnt think this guy was going to win even though for the last couple of weeks all he will said was go out and vote for him. Exactly much its pretty much untrue as you see. He end endorsed roy moore in a massive way. First it was a little bit, a dee factor endorsement almost and then he came out with full fledged endorsement stepping robo calls he wanted a republican to take that seat. Before Luther Strange, there wasnt really much of this Sexual Harassment discussion until after roy moore had won the primary. So i think that was probably the main factor in having roy moore win so for correct it doesnt really add up. Lets talk bout Bigger Picture heres as a result of this victory in alabama yesterday. One, the steve bannon factor. Does it carry any weight any more . Before it was huge blow for the populous movement. Steve bannon went full out he was ready to make a speak last night at the roy moore headquarters. I think its showing the populous movement isnt as strong as it used to be. Of course, theres other factor that is play into it, bannon, roy moore, trump might argue it was unfair they want recount that roy moore said before but it is a blow to ban no and his people. It seems like versus the establishment of the gop party in washington. That fight was always there between the establishment here and what steve bannon was going it makes you wonder now if steve bannon throws his support behind the next person whats the establishment going say in washington . Completely. I think that i mean as youve seen this was this Bannon Mcconnell war for months now. That came to head in this race bannon will probably continue to put his endorsement behind candidates they thinks will be the most nationalist, most populous, but not sure it will much weight. Ax yo talked about detailed on the website now when we look forward to 2018 obviously every race against more and more important now as we look forward to 2018. But one of the things that were seeing now, more and more women coming forward now trying to claim some of these seats that are available. Right. Police said navid appeared to be quote under the influence and confirmed with his friends that he would leave with them. So it wasnt until the next day after i talked to somebody at a shelter who suggested that since id seen that animal i should probably go check my entire yard like beyond the fence. It kind of goes downhill its wood see kind of overgrown and everything. So i did and i found him. He was like half eaten its sad now because i realize, you know, unless i ever get a big dog i mean with my little dog i could never let him outside again in the back. Mary says she thought she had seen what looked like a coyote earlier in the day and that is like wal killed rufus. Theyve been here for three decades because the human took over this area you said there were mountain lions and wolves, is that right. Correct. Have a is a had mountain lions and women still had bear. We killed off the predators for own selfish reasons. Coyotes were traditionally out west in the planes and they moved to the east to fill that empty predator roll. What do we do . Theyre here. Weve got pets. Pets got to go out do their thing. Whats the advice to homeowners who say my goodness i dont know what happened to my dog that happened to little rufus. We need to be aware we do have coyotes and we also have bears in the area and the advice for both them pretty much the same. Its to manage the a track taints not have food sources out they can get into, trash, dont feed pets outside. Small pets could be viewed as prey. Keep cats indoors if you have a dog that youre letting out, keep an eye on it. Dont let it be unsupervised or keep it on leash if its outside of a fenced area. If you do see coyote or bears you want to be aware that they are wild make your presence known to them. Dont run from them. You can throw inn edible objects at them. Make noise. Try to scare them away. You dont want them to set up and think of your yard as their habitat. You want them to know theyre not welcome here and keep that natural fear of humans in place. All right.
