SAGINAW, Ore.-- A wrong-way driver forced dozens of cars off Interstate 5 during the evening commute Wednesday.
Oregon State Police said the vehicle used an emergency turn around and began driving northbound and was followed by an ODOT employee.
The vehicle was followed into Eugene where law enforcement contacted the 94-year-old driver. No signs of impairment noted. The family was contacted. They advised the driver is beginning to suffer from dementia and is easily confused.
