About this event
Are you thinking about writing a memoir during NaNoWriMo?
Join academic, author, father and revolutionary Michael Hyde as he shares with us the lessons he learned while penning his memoir about his lived experiences in the tumultuous Sixties. Michael's travels as a young, starry-eyed university student took him across the world, from America to Australia, as well as Cambodia and into the heart of China during the height of the Vietnam war. All this at a time when forced conscription and draft dodging were utmost in everybody's mind, for ASIO spooks as much as the young and impressionable men who were sent off to war.
