Suspects ran away from the scene. The shooting was not random but happened after some sort of dispute. It is a day many of us will never forget. Sheena hargrove brought up teachers salaries and a 30,000 raise in the contract for the new superintendant. Board members tell nbc news the meeting was called to vote on whether to approve the new contract. Now when hargraves spoke out about the raise she was told she was out of order and the marshall told her to leave. When she was in the hall she was arrested and handcuffed. Shes been released from jail on bond. The state association of educators says that hargraves is working with her attorney on next steps. A new adventure for discovery. The Trump Administration wanted to wind down their protections as of march, which means a lot of those 800,000 people could be deported to countries where theyve never lived. The Justice Department weighing in overnight. They think the program is illegal and theyll fight it in courts. California which launched this challenge, their attorney general tweeting that this is a huge step forward in this case. Well see where it goes from here. Of course, this is all wrapped up, too, in the budget negotiations. Democrats here on capitol hill insisted on protecting those dreamers to get their support for the budget that has to be in place.
