A 1yearold boy was choking on a grape. The dc 911 call center did not dispatch the closest available unit and the boy died days later. An internal review found the lieutenant in charge did not properly report the status of his medical units and failed to recognize a problem with the dispatch technology. That lieutenant will face a trial board on internal charges of neglective duty and failure to provide service to the public. These are not criminal charges. The mayor issued a statement pledging reforms at the call senter and fire department. These are very similar to the charges firefighters faced last year after the death of a man who collapsed outside of a fire house in dc and no one would help him. The public was not allowed to watch those hearings and the lieutenant in charge was able to retire with a full pension and no discipline. Were getting our first look at a man charged with killing a couple in a church. Police say song su kim stabbed a south korean couple during services in urbana over the weekend. According to police, kim told detectives he felt disrespected by koreans and believed the male victim treated him badly earlier that day. A 60yearold man beaten so badly that he eventually died from his injuries. Somebody had to see this attack that occurred a month ago. Today they looked hours for witnesses. Bradley combs left his townhouse for his usual evening walk on june 12. He was beaten and returned home with a shattered jaw and died five days later in the hospital but he was able to tell detectives that a group of at least 20 young people saw him attack and then left walking in the direction of the Montgomery Village shopping center. There was the individual involved in the fight and at least 20 additional that are watching. The person involved in the fight was he or she part of that group . Yes, they were. Combs family and friends say his death is more painful because it remains unsolved. He says her tumor was growing so fast they needed to start treatment immediate lyly. She would get drug infusions 24 hours a day for four days once a month for about six months. It was a blessing. The tumor is gone and she has gotten her energy back and she is finally starting to enjoy retirement.
