A summer Camp Counselor accused with sexually abusing a minor. The young accuser is a student at the holton summer camp. The concerns parents spoke with us. Reporter when parents picked up their campers, they found a counselor was arrested for abusing a minor. Thats awful. I have brought my kids here since they were 3 years old. He taught magic at the summer camp program. He inappropriately touched an 11yearold girl at the camp between june 30th and july 3rd putting his arms around her and asking to sit on his lamp. She told her parents and their told the police. We have been there for several years and they have been so thorough in their background investigations. Safety has always been a priority. I would be surprised and shocked. Reporter they sent this statement saying holtonarms puts the highest priority on the emotional well being and safety of our students. We are and always have been committed to students. We do a background check of summer counselors annually. We take these types of allegations seriously. Do you still have confidence in the Summer Program . I do. I do. Its a great pool. I guess it can happen anywhere. Reporter police want to know if its happened before. We are asking if anybody that went to the camp between 2012 and now or anybody with contact with him to contact us. Call Montgomery County investigators if you have questions. Search Camp Counselor. Someone is stealing from firefighters in Montgomery County while they are out fighting fires. Police think its this man right here. Since april, someone has been breaking into cars at the volunteer fire department. The cars were all parked at the fire station in the parking lot. The suspected shooter walked inside that church with a gun. Reporter the fbi calls it a heard breaking series of missed opportunity that failed to block the sale of the gun roof used to kill the nine people. Roof was arrested february 28 at a Shopping Mall in columbia South Carolina. He admitted carrying a drug. The fbi said if it had known that, it would have blocked roof, an illegal drug user for buying a gun. He applied for a gun in april and they submitted the information to the fbi for a background check. His criminal history showed he was arrested in lexington county. They were told to contact the columbia police. Theres no such department only a West Columbia police department, which has no record of arrests. They called the prosecutor but no one called back. It was still under way after the threeday waiting period. We are all sick this happened fbi director james comby said today. We wish we could turn back time. They met with family members of the shooting victims including the husband of myra thompson. It made me angry. I wasnt angry at dylann, i was angry at the system. A half Million Dollars for Pennsylvania State police and the city of frederick officers cost about 40,000. You cant just swallow those costs. Reporter they found 1. 6 million in bills submitted to baltimore from outside Police Departments with millions more to come. The state of maryland wants the feds to help pick up the tab. They were just rejected. A city of baltimore Spokesman Says they will have to wipe out the Rainy Day Fund with no firm plan of how to replenish. Our city is suffering right now. I hope as a resident it is not Baltimore City that is going to have to pay for it. This was the cvs that was looted. The police bills are only some of the bills the government has to pay for the damage from april. There is still so much to repair and transcends this area and goes far beyond. A judge sentenced a disgraced doctor to 45 years in prison. Cynthia mcfadden reports why he unnecessarily treated them for cancer even though they didnt have cancer. They asked the judge to sentence the doctor to 175 years. Defense lawyers asked for 25. This, we believe to be the most Serious Fraud case in the history of the country. Reporter the judge decided on 45 years. Guilty of giving more than 550 patients cancer treatments they didnt need while lining his own pockets with 20 million. Seemingly a light sentence for the magnitude of the crime and how many people it affected. Reporter this is a mother of a victim treated with potent cancer drugs for a year. Eventually, he sent her for chemotherapy. I received my first chemo july 1, 2013. The day was horrible. It wauz lot of stress. A lot of emotional, just a really bad day. Reporter it got worse when that night she fell and broke her leg. I knew my leg had been broken in half. I screamed for help. Reporter the accident may have saved her life and that of hundreds of others. She underwent multiple blood urine and radiology testing. None indicated active answer. Reporter the doctor told her the good news, she did not have cancer. It was awesome. It was one of the happiest days of my life. Reporter the joy was complicated by the misdiagnosis. So much suffering for nothing. It prompted her to investigate further. Monica wasnt the only one. I feel closure with it. No one wins today. Reporter people who trusted their doctor. Im glad he will spend the rest of his life behind bars. He wont be able to hurt anyone anymore. Can you imagine . The beach police are looking for pretty brazen criminals. Seven life guard stands have been stolen from the beach. They think they were taken overnight between 2 30 and 5 00 in the morning. The stands are heavy, weigh 500 pounds each. Police think somebody dumped them in the water. Wasnt me. I spent a lot of time there the last couple weeks. Its not me. Didnt do it. 500 pound life guard stand not the decoration i would need for our place out there. Yikes what are they thinking . You know . Really . I did not see them. Authorities say the explosion was caused by a car bomb. We are told the consulate was not open at the time of the explosion. None of those hurt are staff members.
