A Montgomery County collections officer is facing charges accused of having sex with a woman who was doing Community Service. Jeremy symmonds is charged with Sexual Misconduct and attempted Second Degree rape. Investigators say he followed the woman into a bathroom and assaulted her last month in rockville. Symmonds told here if they had sex again he would sign off on the rest of her Community Service hours. Hes been since on bond. And new rules on hostage and barricade conditions. Under the new rules police have to contain the situation unless someones life is in jeopardy. They have to consider the lives of hostages, innocent bystanders and officers. John gear was shot and killed by a county Police Officer in august 2013 during a standoff at his home. Reporter well eun, i can tell you this is a very difficult fire event. If you take a look at the center of the house, you can see that the roof is gone. I was just told a little while ago that the upper floor and first floor pancaked into the basement. So very difficult conditions. The house was fully engulfed when firefighters arrive when rescuers got here they noticed there were two cars in the garage. That caused some concern because they did not see anybody outside of the house. And the homeowners and the occupants theres a family of four that lives here, they are still unaccounted for. This video that you see here of the flames this was shot by the Fire Department earlier overnight when the fire broke out shortly after 3 45 this morning. They have searched much of the house, but not all of the house. The area that pancaked into the basement. Being one of the areas that they are still trying to access. They talked to neighbors, no one seems to know where the residents of this home are. So at this point, investigators dont know if they were home or if they were on vacation. They simply dont have any information about the whereabouts of the family. So theyre continuing with their search. That obviously say big priority for them to determine if anyone was inside the home. Residents woke to the commotion. They say it was an intense fire. We woke up to see fire engines in front of our house. And the fire was about two stories high. This is University Tower. The condo highrise about 15 stories. 1,000 people live here. You see people leaving because the building lost power on sunday because of some sort of fire in the boiler room. The power came back on, then it went out again leaving people with no air conditioning. People using candles just to be able to see. People stuck in elevators. The red cross has set up a shelter at Montgomery Blair high school. Some people decided just to stay.
