Megan, what did you learn . Reporter well, aaron, that is the big question was anyone home at the time this fire broke out early this morning. As you look behind me here you can see the tremendous amount of damage that was done to this house on white drive. The entire Center Section there completely burned out. The roof collapsed there in the middle of the home. At this point, the homeowners are not accounted for. There are two cars that are in the garage. When firefighters arrived on the scene that is causing them some concern. They saw those cars in the garage, but they did not see any residents outside of the home. So they certainly were concerned that someone might be inside the house. They went in, although the prior was very intense, were told, they had that partial roof collapse. They did the best stretch that they could but were not able to get to all of the rooms in the home. At this point, theyre still trying to gather information, talking to their neighbors and trying to get more information on where the residents might be. Its possible they were not home. We just dont know at this point. But certainly thats a big piece of this investigation. As for the fire itself it broke out around 3 45 here on the 12,000 block of white drive in Silver Spring. The two people in the cessna, however, were both killed. Their bodies have not been found. The recovery effort continues this morning to find them. But the question, how did this happen . One ended up buying a sophisticated camera system to record him and show it to police. He said kondilis intentionally blocked off his driveway and more recently tore down his fence. This happened around noon at the Columbia Heights playground. Police say a man ran around with a gun in his hands and stood inside the gate and began firing at men in the alley. There was a group huddled behind there of like 4 year olds. Imagine your 4yearold huddled behind an outbuilding for ten minutes waiting for a man with a gun to go away. Most of the children at the playground were participating in summer camps. Officials closed the center for the rest of the day. A local family is trying to track down the person who shot and killed two of their dogs on their farm. The farm owner of the farm in Charles County said he found his sons labs nellie and bear shot to death after reported missing over the weekend. Take a look at the center part of the house, the roof has collapsed. The front wall and floor completely gone. It actually started to burn into the garage. There are two cars in that garage, and thats caused some concern for firefighters responding here because when they got here they didnt find any occupants, any homeowners outside the home.
