With developing news in the somerdale section of philadelphia where a student has allegedly brought a loaded gun to school. That student is in custody and a temporary lockdown has been lifted. But parents are reeling from the scary incident at samuel fels. Bob brooks is at the myself about how the weapon was discovered. Reporter the good news, everyone is safe. I just spoke with School Officials they say the student tried to take the gun through a metal detecter, the alarm went off and now the student is in police custody. I live right there, right, my sons bus come, he come out that way, an there, its extra scary. Reporter we spoke with families and students outside the fellenbaum high this saml fels high this morning. Students went through the metal detecters as they were trying to get in. It was not a rifle. Once the gun was found, the school took immediate action. The bag was taken into possession by District School police and the student was held until Philadelphia Police got here and put him in custody. Reporter next the school was put on lockdown, we spoke with a student who didnt want her identity shown. Word quickly spread what was going on. [inaudible]. She said she is not surprised. You heard of this happening before . Reporter before i went here i heard about this. The lockdown lasted until 8 22 a. M. No student or staff were alarmed. The threat was nearlyized, but there was an external review. Philadelphia police are the ones who essentially lift the lockdown. Reporter scary indeed, at this point its too early in the investigation to figure out what the intentions of the student was, again, we are hours into the investigation. Two men were shot to death overnight on the 700 block of chain street in norristown. Both victims were sitting inside a blue car at the time of the shooting. A Philadelphia High School student is coming to school with a loaded handgun. An Investigation Continues after two people are shot and killed inside a car in norristown. And caught on camera, the rescue of a family from their burning home in chester. Time now, the details a student was arrested after bringing a loaded weapon to Fels High School in the somerdale section of philadelphia. Police were called to the school in the 5500 block of langdon street for a report of a student with a gun. Immediately the school was put on lockdown. The metal detecters at the school went off when the student walked into the buildings and officials jumped into action. The bag was immediately taken into possession by District School police and the student was held until Philadelphia Police got here and put him into custody.
