The shore another one of those spots thats a little cooler. All right, so fog. Still an issue in some spots. Were down to a mile visibility in millville. Wildwood and the airport in Atlantic City right down along the coast, a third of a mile visibility there. Philadelphias up to three so thats a better number there. Wilmington also improving. But out in lancaster still a third of a mile visibility and the same thing in allentown and the poconos. Its not everywhere but if you see it slow down and be more cautious. As we go through the day another record breaker. 58 degrees by 7 oclock, 69 by noon and im going for a high of 76. Patriotic degrees this afternoon. And that will just go right past the old record of 72 set way back in 1930 and i think theres going to be a lot of records falling, a lot of them fell yesterday. We got up to 73 yesterday in philadelphia. So, two Straight Days with this kind of weather. There is more cloud cover overall mixing with sun. Maybe a sprinkle through the day. I think the best chance of any rain is later in the evening hours starting in the northern and western suburbs and then dropping right down through the region to the shore. Karen, tomorrow a big change. Cloudy, cooler, damp. Ill have that coming up in the sevenday. All right dave. We had a disabled vehicle over here on the schuylkill near 202 in king of prussia. Just cleared a minute ago so traffic right now moving better. Westbound heading towards the turnpike currently no problem there. But weve got a new accident here. In involving an overturned vehicle in Chester County. Watch for this vehicle flipped over on its side and into the woods on country club road at jug hollow road. Emergency crews responding to the scene right now. A new accident coming in to us in Chester County. Outside live on 422, starting to slow down a little bit. Thats your eastbound traffic right here. Building volume coming in from pottstown, limerick or royersford. Another issue thats new coming in to us right now, were hearing about an accident in new jersey involving a pedestrian. And were hearing there are injuries on the scene. So, ems workers also coming to the scene. Just happened a couple minutes ago in bellmawr Camden County on browning road at munroe avenue so watch for crews responding to that scene tam. Thank you, karen. We are following breaking news this morning. Shots have been fired outside the scene of a Home Invasion where two people have been hurt. Jeanette reyes is just arrived to the scene, shes got the latest from west roosevelt boulevard in the citys feltonville section. Jeanette sounds like there could be other connections here as well. Reporter yeah, tam, this story is just unfolding within the last few minutes. In fact, we got quite a bit of new information. It appears these two victims are lucky to be alive. I want to show you the scene here and the evidence markers, those circles you see on the ground, thats the shell casings from six shots that were fired at one of the victims t let me get you up to speed on what we know. This happened along 4 oclock this morning along the 200 block of west roosevelt boulevard. This is the feltonville section of the city. Police just told us that a suspect entered one of the units in this home, in this double invasion, and entered the home, pistol whipped the man that was living in that basement unit, demanded cash and drugs and started ransacking the home. That victim played dead and when the suspect was not looking, he escaped the home and the suspects followed him firing five or six shots. That victim was not hit. That suspect then broke into the second unit, the homeowners unit and pistol whipped that woman, also demanded cash and drugs. He ransacked that property as well. That victim were told both of them in fact are okay this morning. They were taken to einstein medical to be evaluated. But again, those shots were fired. Neither one of the victims was hit. Take a listen to what the suspect had to say or police had to say about the first victim. When the victim saw a chance, he bolted on foot outside his own apartment onto the sidewalk. The offender came out and started firing shots at him. Reporter now, interestingly enough police recovered a possibly jacket in the backyard of this home as well as an opened bottle of bleach but i want to take you to the second scene here police are investigating. It might be connected to this incident. Take a live look here. We have our action cam there as well. This is not far from where we are, in fact, this is loudoun street, the 200 block right around the corner four cars were told were damaged by a car in a hitandrun. That happened also around 4 oclock this morning. Neighbors reported hearing gunshots, then saw a car crashing into numerous other cars on the block. One of the vehicles ended up on the sidewalk near a home. The car fled the scene and i believe what youre seeing right now is one of those cars being towed. Again, police are investigating that incident to see if it is connected tock one here. Theyre saying it is possible. Again, this is preliminary information that that could be the suspect who was fleeing or the victim. But this is an ongoing investigation. Were getting information really by the minute. As soon as we get some new details well make sure to pass it right along to you both on air as well as online. Reporting live in feltonville, Jeanette Reyes channel6 action news. Back to you. Time is now 6 08. Lets take a look at sky6. You see hazy conditions. Slightly hazy conditions here as we look at the ben franklin bridge but in other areas we do have some fog but not as bad as yesterday. It is that time of the morning where if youre heading out youll have a lot of company. Lets take a look at your commute and go over to arent today. Good morning. Yeah, you can almost see a hint of the fog here. Its not a big deal on i95 at allegheny. I think the bigger issue is that more people are out there right now than they were a little bit ago. Thats southbound traffic already getting heavy from approaching allegheny to girard but no big problems there. On the northeast extension, the Turnpike Commission warning everybody that theyre noticing some dense fog here in spots and this is north of quakertown and as i look at the visibility report, you can kind of see up near allentown. 3 of a mile, mount pocono. 3 of a mile. The fog isnt as big of an issue at Philadelphia International airport at 3mile visibility but in Atlantic City,. 3 of a mile so the fog is kind of hit or miss as youre heading out. Just watch for that but especially traveling northward right now on the northeast extension were dealing with that as well. And in Chester County weve got a problem here on country club road at jug hollow road. Weve got an accident where a vehicle flipped on its side and into the woods. So, a mess of a situation there. And also in bellmawr in Camden County, browning road at monroe avenue hearing about an accident involving a pedestrian. So, crews on the scene with that one. On the waze app i found someone talking about a minor accident on 55 northbound in deptford just as youre heading past the mall and towards route 42. You want to watch for that. I think the big deal, though, as youre heading out, the mild temperatures. 54 degrees already in philadelphia. Look at dover. Its already 62 degrees as youre heading out today and temperatures are really going up from here. Todays forecasted high 76. Thats 31 degrees above average. More typical for mid or late may. Not here in february. I love the pictures people have been tweeting out. This is jacob who sent yesterdays sunset. Beautiful day. Captured by a beautiful sunset but its not staying quite this nice. Weve got a front that were tracking thats going to produce some rain and a change in temperatures. Davids got that in the sevenday coming up soon. Thanks karen. Some of you might have some drizzle on the windshield because youre driving through a cloud. As we take a look outside we have sky6 and there is that low lying cloud cover in philadelphia. Visibilities in the city itself at the surface actually arent that bad and not as bad as they were yesterday but in some areas we do have under a half mile visibility and if you encounter some of that thick stuff slow it down. 54 degrees, mild this morning. Dewpoints same as the temperature an indication of how moist the atmosphere is. Winds are currently calm, too, and until we can get that sun up with the calm winds there really isnt a whole lot of encouragement to get that fog out of here. Once the sun comes up it will start to evaporate top to bottom and well get better after about 9 oclock or so. Still 57 in reading. And 60 in trenton. A lot of these numbers starting out are very mild this morning and that southerly wind is continuing. 54 degrees in philadelphia. 52 in wilmington. 55 in millville. I know i said wind and some areas are calm but the generally flow is from the south and youre still getting even more mild air pumping into the region today. Cloud cover around there but i do expect a transition to clouds and sun fairly quickly today. And thats what well probably see for the majority of the day. Were also going to see a very warm afternoon once again. 59 degrees by 8 oclock. By 10 oclock, 62. These numbers already well above the average high which is in the mid 40s. 69 degrees by noon. And then by 3 oclock, your high of 76 degrees, that will move right past that existing record of 72. We actually did get 73 yesterday which was a record. And by 6 oclock, 70 degrees. Lots of records falling today. In fact across the region. Everywhere ive placed an asterisk thats a forecast high that will be a record if we hit it. That includes the 72 in trenton, the 72 in allentown, the 76 in philadelphia, the 74 in wilmington, the 73 in reading and dover. No record in millville but 74 still pretty warm. 60 down the shore. If youre right down along the coast ooh youll have a couple miles by the water where its cooler. Future tracker6 shows i was sprinkle around during the day. I think the better chance is probably in the evening where we get showers coming down from north all the way down to the shore by about midnight. Then tomorrow big change. A high of just 49 degrees with a frontal boundary settling down to the south. Cloudy, dreary, some rain at times tomorrow. Your exclusive accuweather sevenday, today a record setter, 76. Tomorrow, lot different, 49 degrees, cloudy cool and damp. 46 on friday which is the average high. And well have periods of rain there as well. For the weekend, gets a little milder again. 59 on saturday, 61 on sunday. And then another feature comes through giving us some rain that will probably be steadiest in the afternoon and saturday night. And then i could see it being wet on sunday morning but potentially drying out sunday afternoon. Starting next weeks work week were in the 50s and dry. Not bad. Soak up the sun today. cause youre not going to see it a lot the next couple days. Lets take a look outside right now and check the roads for you.
