Were still at a third of a mile in allentown, poconos out in lancaster but weve improved to 2 miles in wilmington. Actually thats a worse number in philadelphia,. 8 miles and down to about a mile in millville. That also is coming up a little bit. But still pretty thick fog down in wildwood and the airport in Atlantic City. So as youre driving around in those places where you have the spotty patchy fog youll want to slow it down. Like yesterday you might have some problems not being able to see things in the roads swells you should. By noon 69 degrees. You can see how there is sun mixing with clouds dan were expecting the high of 76 degrees this afternoon. That will totally destroy the old record of 72. Here on haddonfield road at park avenue we have an accident thats causing problems in pennsauken in camden county. So watch for crews on the scene there. Shots are fired outside the scene of a Home Invasion in the olney section where a woman says she was pistol whipped. Action News ReporterJeanette Reyes just arrived at the scene along west roosevelt boulevard to tell us what she knows. Goodgood morning, jeanette. Reporter good morning, matt. Seconds ago we got word from police that this is a double Home Invasion. Two people were pistol whipped. This is the scene here where it happened. There are two apartments in this home. Theres a bottom one in the basement and then the upper floor. So, the suspect invaded both of these apartments and again pistol whipped both the homeowner as well as the residents in the lower floor. Now, this happened less than two hours ago much this is along the 200 block of west roosevelt boulevard in the olney section here. Were told the suspect fled on foot. That homeowner is being treated right now as we speak. It is unknown what was taken at this time. But we do know that the owner, again, was injured and not sure at this point aside from the second person who is pistol whipped if anyone else was injured especially by those shots fired but police are checking local hospitals. They are on the scene right now investigating. In the meantime there is some disruption to the outer lane of roosevelt boulevard. Well keep you posted on that as well as this ongoing investigation. Also breaking here a hitandrun driver damaged four cars parked in the citys feltonville section. Neighbors along the 200 block of loudoun street reported hearing gunshots at 4 00 a. M. And then saw the car come crashing into numerous other vehicles on the block. The action cam is live here with the aftermath. One vehicle, as you see, ended up on the sidewalk and near a house. Another one has its windshield broken. The driver took off and there are no reports of any injuries. Survivors of last weeks School Shooting in florida took an eighthour bus ride from parkland to the State Capitol of tallahassee arriving to welcoming crowds overnight. Theyre there to lobby state lawmakers for a ban on assault style rifles like the one used in the massacre at their school but theyve had their spirits a bit dashed. Some of their classmates were already there in the State Capitol yesterday and they watched as lawmakers defeated a similar measure to the one theyre pushing for. It was a move that left the teenagers in tears. Other students and families from parkland will be in washington, d. C. Today, theyre going to join the president for a listening session hoping their heart felt pleas will urge him to push for more gun control. This is a movement for humanity, for safety, for keeping our citizens alive. Reporter one week after the parkland shooting students are ramping up the pressure on state lawmakers. Were talking about gun safety. Were talking about School Safety. And were talking about mental health. Reporter while the students rode on buses to tallahassee, florida lawmakers voted to not consider a bill to ban assault rifles. One survivor watching the vote overcome with emotion. It was a big punch in the gut. Reporter in the nations capitol, President Trump directed his attorney general to find a way to ban bum stocks, a device not used in park parkland but used in the las vegas rampage. I signed a memorandum directing the attorney general to propose regulations to ban all devices that turn legal weapons into machine guns. Reporter democratic senator Dianne Feinstein said the directive wont be enough tweeting legislation is the only answer. The president also wants to strengthen background checks while the white house is facing questions about assault weapons. Developing overnight Philadelphia Police are searching for the driver who struck a woman and then fled the scene. This happened around midnight at the intersection of hunting park and pulaski avenues in the tioganicetown section. The woman is in that stable condition with an arm injury. Administrators with Marple Newtown high school confirm that a 17yearold student posted a photo of himself holding an air soft rifle.
