An emotional reunion for a georgia firefighter and a fiveyearold girl he saved. Destiny nelson was dropped from the third floor of a burning building at her family rushed to escape the blaze. Captain scott strout managed to catch her. They reconnected were i was big hug right there. The captain says meeting destiny reminded him why he became a fired in the first place. Very seldom do we get to make that personal connection. If i retired today i would have a fulfilled career to be able to see the family and how appreciative they are and to see the children playing with their siblings my heart is over filled. Captain scott gave destiny and her family a tour of the fire truck. Look at the smile on her face. What a story for that firefighter and that family. Wonderful. Turning back to our forecast now adam is back as we start this week pretty warm. Very. But we have some changes. Well break the warmth in the form of heavy rains, thunderstorms gusty winds tomorrow morning and then temperatures start to cool off in the middle of the week. We head to the Weather Center and we take a live look right now on sky6, a part of the center city skyline from our Temple University camera here and you can see a little bit of break in the sky there with the clouds trying to give a little bit of hint of sun before it sets here this evening but overall a very mild day. In fact as we look at the accuweather headlines, a soaking rain coming in late tonight in the first part of the day tomorrow, a general half inch to inch of rain. There could be some isolated damaging wind gusts and ill show you where were thinking that could be with some of those storms early tomorrow morning. And then easily cool weather returns behind the system. Not tremendously cold but a step down from where we are right now. In fact, were 20 degrees above normal in philadelphia right now at 60 degrees. 54 in trenton. 58 at the Atlantic City airport but right along the immediate shore much cooler cause the winds off of that ocean of 35 degrees so its only in the 40s at the shore up in the Lehigh Valley a bit cooler there also at 51. As we look at satellite and radar, the system that will bring us the rain is winding up between saint louis, chicago, omaha, nebraska, on the north side of the system they are dealing with some very heavy snow. In fact, a blizzard warning in effect for southern parts of not only wisconsin but also minnesota and that stretches back into omaha, nebraska and northern kansas there. They could see close to a foot of snow because of this low pressure but thats going to lift over to the great lakes and that brings warmth its way ahead of it and this is our weather coming in the ohio and Tennessee Valley that round of rain that not going to last all that long but it will be heavy at times. In fact for tonight the rain doesnt arrive until very late. Predawn hours with fog forming as well. 42 in the suburbs, 46 degrees for center city with that southeasterly wind continuing off the atlantic four to 8 miles an hour. Future tracker6 will stop at 5 oclock in the morning as people start to head out the do door for the flush rush hour. As you can see it fills in here 7, 8, 9 oclock in the morning for philadelphia, wilmington, reading, lancaster again heavy rain, ponding on the roadways. That continues until about the lunchtime hour when it starts to end west of philadelphia at lunchtime and then still raining heavy east again with some embedded thunderstorms and some gusty winds and then in the afternoon, much quieter here. For the evening rush hour, much, much better as you can see maybe some sunshine in spots and maybe a lingering shower but overall a drying trend the second half of the day tomorrow. So, what to expect for rainfall totals . Close to threequarters of an inch right along i95, could be a little more than that up towards the Lehigh Valley and a soaking rain for the poconos, an inch up there. Little bit less in southern areas but right around a half an inch or so millville, Atlantic City and if you could get some gusty thunderstorms out of this, the best bet would be south of the city in delaware and also parts of south jersey, notes much towards the Lehigh Valley but again, its very isolated but a chance any thunderstorm could pull down some strong winds. The exclusive accuweather 7day forecast, morning rain, gusty winds, 62 degrees with some sunshine in the afternoon returning. And then back to near normal here on wednesday, sun and clouds, 42. A chill in the air thursday of 37 and that remains going into friday but as we head into the following weekend, breezy, milder saturday, dry, its 54. Mild with periods of rain developing with the next storm on sunday, near 60 degrees. Early rain monday, then drying in the afternoon but still warm, 50 degrees. So, at this point when were looking forward, looks like the coldest part of the month definitely is behind us and were staying relatively above normal here. All right. Right through the end of january. We could be in minneapolis so its always brutal. Why theres a dome there. Exactly. Adam, thank. Thank you adam. Yeah. Action news at 4 00 will be right back. Okay. That demand is bringing out the scammers. Action news news nydia han joins us live in the studio with a look at what you need to know to avoid getting ripped off. Hi guys you have to be careful. Bogus tickets are big business. We know that of the six people arrested at the linc by police yesterday, three of them were arrested because of counterfeit tickets and super bowl lii tickets are set to be the most expensive ever. We checked this afternoon and the cheapest ticket we could find online from a licensed Ticket Broker was 4,727. Now, this is not the time to buy from an unknown individual or alleged business on sites like craigslist. Instead, buy only from a reputable known vendor legitimate Ticket Brokers are going to be vetted, theyll have a real address and phone number. You also want to check before you buy the ticket that the section, seat, row number that all of those things are legitimate that they actually exist in that stadium so check the stadium web site. And if you cant verify, again, the vendor, then you want to use someone else. Also be careful when buying a super bowl travel package. Pay with a credit card know exactly whats included. Some packages do not include game tickets they only include land or air travel. And for an official eagles super bowl travel package that includes a game day ticket, airfare and a three night hotel stay, in a quad, four guests per room, the price, guys, is 6,835. Whew. Per person. Wow. The majority of that of course being the tickets to get in the game. How much did it kos to costing to up there and set up a tent. [laughter] thank you nydia.
