Ducis rodgers ron jaworski are breaking down yesterdays eagles victory against the giants. Didnt come easy but a win is a win, right. Yup. Jaws the eagles check off one of the things on their list. They got a first round buy. Bye. You want to have Home Field Advantage throughout the playoffs and with one more win eagles will get Home Field Advantage. Lets be real here ducis. It was not one of their best performances yesterday but clearly nick foles showed that he can replace carson wentz and lets go to one of his touchdown passes. What the eagles are going to try to do is flood this side of the field. They want to get receivers out of this side of the field. They do a real good job of that. And thats going to leave Alshon Jeffrey all alone at the top. Oneonone. Hes going to go to the back of the end zone and nick foles will find him. What i like about this play is nick had patience. The giants only rushed three, they dropped eight. He looked left, he looked left he finally came back right and found Alshon Jeffrey. Very poised pocket. Livering anw and you got a big old strong tall target with great hands and by the way good feet because you got to keep your feet inbound but nick foles made the play. Patience in the pocket. Outstanding job by foles. And one thing about nick, he will read the defense presnap. Hes an experienced guy. He sees the giants right here. Theyve got eight defenders in the box. That means only three in courage. Once the ball is snapped hell read it. Nice route design by frank wright. Youll get a rub from Nelson Agholor trying to pick off that defender but youll see it once nick drops back he sees that the rub element really didnt work. Torrey smith is covered. But he goes to secondary receiver Nelson Agholor does a great job of making his camp. From the end zone you see what a great catch this. Not a real good throw but you got one of those, you got the touchdown for nick foles. The eagles did not go conservative with nick foles. On defense seems like there was a lot of things to clean up right now, jaws. Yeah, it was a dispinting point, game for the defense. The rush wasnt there on a consistent basis. The secondary was biting those quick slants. When eli manning gets in a can p pretty good. Lets show you the touchdown pass to king. Youll see Malcolm Jenkins on the blitz. Jalen mills right here on king thinking were going to get pressure the ball is going to come out quick. He was wrong. They ran a slant and a goal on him and everything worked for the giants so when you look at mills he will bites that quick slant, all of a sudden king goes over the top easy touchdown for the giants. You see the move right there. Again, they stay with the short passing game. Did the new york giants. After this play, they came back with just a slant. Ronald darby gets beat by king again. Shows explosive speed. Right now the eagles have to concern themselves moving forward with teams that have a good quick passing game and generate explosive plays. Tighten those things up and hopefully things will get better on the defense side of the ball. Hes jaws, im ducis. Back to you. On to the next game. Christmas night. Still to come on action news tonight the explosive accuweather forecast. As we take a live look from our sky6 camera, its a pretty picture of the center city skyline tonight.
