Philadelphia police are searching for two masked men responsible for an Armed Robbery in a kensington 7eleven this morning. Police say that the men entered the store in the 3900 block of kensington avenue with an ak47, assault rifle, and a demand of the money. It happened around 4 30 this morning. Both member got away with an undetermined amount of cash, no injuries were reported. No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting in north philadelphia that injured, two teenagers. The shots were fired just after 11 00 last night in the intersection of the north ninth and West Somerset Avenue Police tell action news that the 17 yearold was shot in the leg and 15 yearold boy suffered a grazed wound to the abdomen. Those were taken to Temple University hospital where they are wrist ted in stable condition. Investigators found 12 spent shell casings at the scene. In other news fire forced a family in the cold night air in philadelphias park side section overnight. Six threeyear old woman in the wheelchair was rescued from her burning home on the 5800 block of west master street. That happened just after mid need. Sixtysix yearold man was also rescued along with the family dog from the second floor. It took them 10 minutes to bring the fire under control. The American Red Cross is helping a total of four people displaced by the blaze. The causes under investigation from our delaware news room we now know the name of the man shot and killed by a delaware state troop inner wilmington. Police say 30 yearold adam rat cliff was killed when attempting to drive away during a traffic stop friday afternoon. The 37 yearold trooper was dragged by ratcliffs vehicle and that is when investigators say the trooper opened fire. The trooper was treated for nonlife threatening injuries. He has been placed on administrative leave pending an outcome of an Investigation Police have also identified another man who was shot and killed in wilmington. They were waiting for their Southwest Airlines flight friday night and saw that his dancing daughter has a new partner, this employee, right outside. There is a possibility that the mild air holds on in the first part of Christmas Eve before it turns colder but once it turns colder believe me it will get much colder. Looking at satellite and radar deposit we are seeing cloud in the Midatlantic States this moisture quickly pushing off to the northe. Some of it will move in quickly overnight tonight. Problem is colder air will still be in place up in through here, so moisture will come rushing n cold air in place. Then we have problems with wintry precipitation. So future tracker by 3 00 everything fine, dry, first part of the evening it is dry and right around midnight hour that is when the first wave, first band of the moisture will pull on n it should be a couple of showers for the city, points south and e but there could sleet pellets or freezing rain, snow flakes, north and west of the city, that continues through about four or 5 00 a. M. And then that lift to the north by a little bit less north of the pennsylvania turnpike. And then by 5 00 that should start lifting out. Once the front pulls through skies will brighten up and most of monday looks really nice, with the combination of sun and cloud, and High Temperatures a least in the upper 40s some areas will push 50. Millville, dover, wildwood, maybe hitting 50 tomorrow afternoon. It looks pretty nice. As we get in the northwestern suburbs, heres the concern. Overnight tonight, cloudy skies, its is just a spotty shower, for city of philadelphia, southern new jersey and delaware. But we are expecting a wintry mix for northwestern suburbs and some icy patches, are possible. I want to continue to throw this out there. Take it very, very easy, be very cautious on the roads, first thing tomorrow morning if you live north and west in philadelphia. And then lets fast forward into christmas day. Heres where things will get really interest interesting. We have a tremendous amount of cold air pressing in the heart land of the nation. True arctic air. High temperatures will struggle to get above zero when we get in the high plains at the same time it will be nice and mild in east coast. Scenario number one says the mild air holds on, and we dont have to worry about too much. There could be some rain. Scenario number two shows the arctic air pressing, further south across the virginia and carolinas and pushing that mild air to the south. It turns could here in the midatlantic and northeast as well. Reason why that is important, is there a wave of low pressure developing along that boundary layer and if the cold air is in place and that low comes up, you might get snow on christmas day. Some of the models are showing this, other forecast models lift that warm air in place across midatlantic and think say all rain. Interesting thing this year is a lot of christmases we dont get much of anything, usually quiet, cold or mild. At least this year is there a possibility of something brewing. So thinks something we will watch closely over the next week or so, and we shall see what happens, but right now, at lee is there a possibility of a White Christmas in the philadelphia area 42 degrees weeks coming cloudy to day. Still a little chilly. For monday, it is milder, 47 degrees. Tuesday, it is really nice up to 56. There that is springlike day. Earlier this week the Philadelphia City council and or local leaders singled him out for using his platform to spotlight social injustice. Action News Reporter Christie Ileto has the story. Reporter honored for using his position as a nfl player to be a mega phone for change, eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins was recognized for local leaders. Having to see aloft support for the kind of cause that he is supporting and protesting for as far as racial justice, we need to stand up and be supportive of him. Him leading the coalition, kind of continues a significance of athletes using their, platform to talk about greater things and then just their sport. Reporter to his critics leading player protests during National Anthem as a way to spotlight racial in equality is controversial, but to his supporters jenkins is a consummate champion for social reform that included co organizing a meeting with players and nfl owners to discuss driving force behind their protests. The millions of dollars nfl put up for social justice is a step in the right direction that would not have happened but for Malcolm Jenkins. Malcolm has been to capitol hill, harrisburg, he has met with the commissioner here. Reporter jenkins has done ride alongs with the Philadelphia Police to bridge the gap between those who wear the badge and the communities that they serve. Efforts that even landed him a nomination by his team for the man of the year award. As for the man of the year award finalists wont be revealed until january. Robin muellers investigators have gain access to thousands of emails sent and received by President Trumps Transition Team before he took office. Many of the emails include National Security discussion about possible Trump International aid but investigators did not request record from trumps Transition Group, instead emails came from General Services administration, a separate federal agency. Members of the Transition Group of argued that the gsa was unauthorized to give the emails to the investigators. Update to that accident on a mountain yesterday.
