Right now youve got a 21degree temperature in philadelphia. 21 in wilmington and millville. 20 currently in trenton, allentown and 19 in reading and lancaster. And really the big story is that wind which has died down a little bit this morning but is still Strong Enough to give you these wind chills. Eight is what it feels like in philadelphia right now 8degree wind chill in wilmington, just six in trenton and allentown and it feels like its four lovely degrees in reading six in millville. Dover not as much wind there temporarily its better down south. If youre headed out to the bus stop this morning look out. Youre going to really want to bundle up with all that winter gear. Wind chills between five five and 10, temperatures between 19 to 23 from suburbs to center city and temperatures top out at about the freezing mark this afternoon. Well get a high close to 32 at 3 oclock. It will feel like its in the Single Digits in the morning no better than the teens in the afternoon. Were watching a vehicle fire out in douglas township along philadelphia avenue. That of course is 73 at williams way there by the mcdonalds and now getting word of some Fire Department activity in shanksville along summit avenue near woodland avenue. Action News ReporterJeanette Reyes is live along the 6900 block of torresdale avenue where this happened overnight. Jeanette. Reporter well matt the man who was thrown has died from his injuries. Were told it was serious head trauma. Another person who was injured was the driver of the striking car. Were told it was a woman. She was bleeding from her head. Still she managed to run off. Police have cleared the scene but you can see all of that debris from when one of the cars went barreling through that that fence and landed on the front yard of that corner home. This happened around 1 oclock this morning along disston and torresdale avenue. Police say one car hit the other and sent it careening evening through the fence. Witnesses say the driver and passenger of the striking vehicle a man and would. Were seen running off through a an alley. They left a bloody scene behind. The 40yearold driver and the 21yearold front passenger were taken to aria torresdale. The back seat passenger was ejected 30 feet and was found unconscious on the ground with severe head trauma. Now, i spoke to a witness and she tells me that they briefly spoke to the woman who was driving the car and she refused to stay on scene. Take a listen. Told her to stay on the ground cause an ambulance iswanted to get up and he tried to get her to go sit on the wall and she just said no, no, no and then next thing you know she took off running behind 7eleven. Reporter now police do have a bit to work with in terms of leads. Were told they ran the license plate on that car and they have been able to get the address of the owner in northeast philadelphia. So that should help quite a bit as well as surveillance camera footage from some of the businesses in this are if y information youre asked to contact police. And later on tonight at 11 oclock when cecily is on the air and the winds will die down a little bit but the temperatures will be easing down as well and well still have wind chills making it feel like its in the teens up and down i95. Also this evening around 9 oclock were looking at the arrival of some light snow and by 11 oclock cecily will probably have snow to show you good portion of the region. Overnight it kind of recedes back up to the north and by 4 00 in the morning were starting to see this wind down. You can see how its kind of falling apart during the morning rush hour.
