Satellite shows you how the cloud cover has moved off the coast along with the last round of precipitation so we are looking at plenty of sunshine early. But its not o help. Temperatures right now 21 degrees in philadelphia and wilmington. 21 in millville, 20 in trenton, 20 in allentown. Still just 19 in reading and lancaster. The big story is the wind chill. Winds have fallen back a little bit right now but we still got wind chills in the Single Digits in most neighborhood. Feels like 8 degrees in philadelphia and 4 degrees in reading, just three in lancaster and as we go through the morning be sure to bundle up especially on the bus stop this morning. Were looking at very raw temperatures between 19 and 23 from suburbs to center city and its all winter gear for those wind chills between five and 10 degrees. And as we go through the afternoon we are looking at cold conditions. Were only going to get up to a high of about 32 around three or 4 oclock this afternoon but the big story all day long will be the wind chills starting out in the Single Digits but winding up in the teens no better than that in most neighborhoods. Westbound work in the same area by 30th street has also cleared out of the way. We had a broken down vehicle on 95 southbound in the work zone at girard. But at least our dandered in perkiomen has been cleared out of the way from gravel pike 29 at graterford road. Still watching a crash in lansdale by the Wells Fargo Bank along main street at susquehanna avenue but our overnight road work at the burlington bristol bridge is gone so youre good to go there on this wednesday morning, matt. Thank you, matt. Back to that crash you mentioned its our breaking news story. Two cars collide throwing one person 30 is feet from the back seat. He died while to other people were hurt. Police are searching for one of the drivers who ran from the scene. Action News ReporterJeanette Reyes is live where this happened overnight in the citys tacony section. Jeanette. Reporter matt i just spoke to witnesses who tell me the driver of the striking vehicle is a young woman, in fact, they ran up to her, she appeared as if she needed medical help. She was pleading profusely from her head and they told me shortly after she ran off and she is still on the run this morning. Take a live look here behind me. Theyre actually taking away the second vehicle right now. You can see the damage, its pretty significant. The car is totaled. This all happened around 1 oclock this morning along disston and torresdale avenue. Police i was one car hit the other and sent it careening through the fence and front yard. Witnesses say the driver and passenger a woman and man were seen running off through an alley and they left a bloody scene behind. The 42yearold driver of the vehicle hit and the 21yearold in the front passenger seat were injured and taken to aria torresdale hospital. The back seat passenger was found unconscious and on the ground with severe head trauma. Now, as far as the vehicle the owner of the striking vehicle it shouldnt be too difficult police say to find the owner of that car. The vehicle thats still on the scene does have a license plate and it matches the vin number and police ran the license plate through their computer. It does come up to northeast philly and police right now are doing an investigation to determine where the owner is and who was driving the vehicle. Reporter now, witnesses have been pretty helpful to police and surveillance cameras should also help them find some clues here. As far as the one person who died, were told he is a young man and the witness here tells me that he appeared to be dead really on the ground. Also breaking this morning a man says he was tied up during a Home Invasion in the citys hunting park section. According to the victim, two men broke into his house in the 3000 block of north third street at midnight. The victim was not seriously hurt. The two men were able to run away but oddly enough, did not take anything. Governor tom wolf is expected to veto a controversial bill just approved by the statehouse. The house joined the senate in voting to ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy. The ban is currently at 24 weeks. The law would allow exemptions when a mothers life is at risk but would not allow exemptions for rape or incest. Governor tom wolf says the bill is an assault on the doctorpatient relationship by politicians without medical or health expertise. Philadelphia police say an action news investigation gave them the proof they needed to issue warrants for two squatters. They are looking for tanisha diaz and khdeir shah cattily. After seeing our interview with diaz and facebook video of her expensive vacations in miami they have enough to put the pair behind bars. Cattily is believed to be diazs partner in the alleged crime. Happening today President Trump will make his final pitch on tax reform to the american people. The president is expected to focus on how the tax cuts will affect the next generation. Both the house and senate have passed different versions of the tax reform bill. A joint Conference Committee is expected to meet this afternoon to work out a tax compromise. They could have an update to a new bill by the end of this week. Alabama senate elect doug jones is not expected to be sworn in quickly enough to make any impact on any tax reform votes unless the debate lingers. A bucks county family now has a new place to call home for the holidays. The action cam was there as the family walked into their new home in levittown last night. Volunteers with habitat for humanity remodeled the home along with help from the robles family. They can afford a mortgage. They cant afford enough of a mortgage to buy a home in bucks county. Nonetheless, with about a coating to an inch of light snow on track we could see some icy slick spots especially on surfaces that havent been treated. That would be for tomorrow mornings commute. So, the snow will be ending for the commute tomorrow morning but with a coating to an inch and temperatures still in the 20s below freezing. Look out for those slick spots. We have new information about a wildfire thats that swept through belair california. Firefighter its say it was caused by people cooking at a homeless encampment in a nearby ravine. That fire last week destroyed six homes and damaged a dozen others but is now under control. Firefighters are continuing to attack six other wildfires burning across southern alifornia. They are battling the flames from the sky with fixed wing aircraft dropping fire retardant. The fires have destroyed more than 1,000 homes and buildings. Surveillance video shows a man going on a destructive rampage while trying to steal beer from a Southern California liquor store.
