Our coverage continues now with action news reporter, chad pradelli, live at the headquarters in king of prussia where crews are preparing for the expected snowfall. Hey chad. Hey rick, the first snow storm of the season. Not a major snow storm coming through but one that certainly could create a nuisance. We are inside of the Operations Center a short time ago and relatively quiet, and that will pick up into this evening and the overnight hours as the storm begins to approach. Penndot doesnt really know how many crews are come on board and they are watching the forecast closely, and make the determination later on this afternoon. The brining process has already begun on the major thorough ways, and once the snow begins they begin to apply the salt. But its been a really warm fall and the roads are still relatively warm and most of this snow is not expected to stick. They are warm and straddling the freezing line. Get a coating on the grassy area and initially melt on the road. But given the duration of the storm its possible they will dip down and see accumulations and we would move from salting to our plowing operation. And penndot says its fortunate that the snow storm may hit during the overnight hours, again that could change and theyll keep an eye on that. And not many people on the roadways, if you are on the roads you can track which roads have been plowed. Go to 511 pa. Com. A link to that on our website at 6abc. Com.
