But as we go through the day, expect lots of sunshine and even milder afternoon highs than what we had yesterday. By noon well be at 54. That was yesterdays forecast and actual high in philadelphia. By 3 oclock today well expect to get to 59. Some spots might even hit 60 briefly. And then 53 degrees by 5 oclock and then by 7 oclock, 49 degrees. This just cleared it now. I think im seeing traffic move a lot better but its been backed up because they had to stop traffic again while they tried to clear it so schuylkill westbound here at south street, were starting to reopen but weve got a backlog. Eastbound has reopened and its going to close again tonight at 11 oclock on the schuylkill westbound so well watch for this to happen all over again. Very nice. On the big picture right now, were looking at those 10 miles an hour speeds at this hour on the schuylkill. Its going to improve now that the lanes are reopening here. Other than that, no big issue out there. Currently looking outside live in delaware county, this is i95 near 320. We see southbound traffic up ahead heading towards the delaware state line. Construction clears both ways. All lanes reopen and were looking good here on i95, matt. Sounds good, thank you, karen. Developing this morning, the search for a driver who struck two teenagers in bucks county. Now at first the driver stopped to help one of the victims. But ended up driving off before police arrived. Action News Reporter Jeanette Reyes is live where this happened along street road in trevose and has new information from investigators. Jeanette. Reporter well, matt, we know a man and a woman were struck. That woman is in Critical Condition this morning. The search for the driver is on and police have released a pretty detailed description of his car. Take a look at the scene here from chopper6 hd not long after this incident. Bensalem township and Lower Southampton Township Police responded to street road near philmont avenue where we are here in trevose and investigated reports of a hitandrun. Two victims were found, a man and a woman, each 18 years old. They were rushed to aria torresdale hospital. The would. Is in Critical Condition. The mans condition is unknown this morning. At the scene, police collected as much evidence as they could. They soon were able to come up with a detailed description of the suspects vehicle. Take a listen. A vehicle were looking for is approximately 97 to early 2000 ford f150 pickup truck. Its maroon with tan trim and its got ladder racks. It should be missing a passenger side Rearview Mirror and also have damage to the front passenger side. Reporter and the investigation also revealed something kind of interesting. Theyre saying that the driver of that pickup truck got out and moved the female victim, then got back in the pickup truck and drove off. This morning theyre hoping that someone recognizes this vehicle. If you do, you are encouraged to contact police. Reporting live in trevose, bucks county, Jeanette Reyes, channel6 action news. Tam. Okay, thank you for that, jeanette. And police in upper darby are reviewing new surveillance video. They hope it holds some hopeful clues on who attacked a 75yearold visually impaired man. Police say someone robbed and beat the Senior Citizen sunday afternoon in the unit block of glendale road. The victim suffered a broken hip. Hes attacked by a male, knocked to the ground, thrown to the ground, stomped on and then the bad guy goes into his pocket and takes out a hundred dollars, his cell phone. Superintendent chitwood says the victim was returning home from his daily 3mile walk and that he may indeed have been targeted. The mayor of allentown is expected in federal court in philadelphia. Lawyers for ed pawlowski will argue that the federal corruption charges against him should be dismissed. Voters elected pawlowski to a fourth term earlier this month. Federal prosecutors indicted him over the summer claiming he was part of a pay to play scheme. Pawlowskis trial is set for january. New this morning, a philadelphia grandmother whose grandchild accidentally shot herself over the weekend is now out of jail. Police charged Barbara Mcgill with child endangerment. They say mcgill did not follow instructions to lock up a gun owned by the childs father putting it in a closet instead. The threeyearold girl found it and shot herself in the leg. This happened on the 1300 block of south wilton street in kingsessing on sunday. The little girl is in stable condition at Childrens Hospital of philadelphia. Now police had originally arrested the toddlers father but then dropped the charges. The 20th annual preston and steve campout for hunger food drive is under way this week in south philadelphia. Same story down the shore, mostly sunny, nice, a little milder than yesterday getting up to 60 degrees along many of our shore points. In philadelphia well be close to that. Im going for a high of 59 degrees. 60 wouldnt be out of the question. Either way lots of sun and it is going to be pleasant and the winds not quite as breezy as yesterday, only running about six to 12 miles per hour. Overnight tonight 43 is the overnight low. Now, this is representative of a very mild overnight compared to where weve been recently. Some suburbs get down to about 40, maybe 39 in a couple of places. A bit breezier as we develop overnight with partly cloudy skies but milder than its been. And that mild pattern continues over the next few days. No sign of winter yet even though december arrives on friday with lots of sunshine, generally over the next several days and the mild conditions. And thats kind of nice because when you look back at november, overall were running a little bit below average.
