Down to 30 degrees in allentown, not quite as bad as yesterday morning but cold enough for coats. 32 reading, 31 lancaster, 36 in philadelphia, a little chillier in the city. 34 in trenton, 30 in millville. Not a lot of wind out there but chilly to start out. But like yesterday its going to be mild. In fact were going to add about 5 degrees to the high. 36 degrees by 7 oclock. By noon, 54 which was yesterdays forecast and actual high in philadelphia. By 3 oclock im expecting 59 and it wouldnt be out of the question that some of you see 60 this afternoon. Winds on the light side, too, so really pleasant. 53 by 5 oclock. By 7 oclock 49 degrees and thanksgiving is behind us and here comes christmas. Lets take a look at the schuylkill expressway here at south street and we could see westbound traffic heading towards the vine, you can see the cones that are set up right now, construction continues to block both lanes. Should be clearing shortly. Eastbound construction blocks the left lane and should be clear by 5 00 a. M. No delays right now but as you drive on the schuylkill westbound as we have warned you yesterday its shut down at 30th street. On the big picture overall youre seeing the green traffic flow. Moving nicely on the blue route schuylkill and i95. Flyers play tonight at 7 00. Youll see some extra congestion there in south philadelphia and weve been talking about this terrible accident in bucks county in trevose where we have street road remaining of blocked between philmont avenue and trevose road. We have that accident investigation still going on right now shutting down the road. Stick to bristol road to get around it tam. Okay, karen. Again, Police Looking for the driver who hit two 18yearolds who were crossing street road in trevose and then ultimately fled that scene. Action News ReporterJeanette Reyes is live now at the scene of the crash with new details. Good morning, jeanette. Reporter good morning, tam. We know a man and a woman were struck. That woman is fighting for her life this morning. Back at the scene here we know police just released a description of the suspects vehicle. This is a look at the scene from overhead from chopper6 hd not long after the incident. Incident. Bensalem police investigated reports of a hitandrun. Two victims were found, a man and a woman. Each 18 years old. They were rushed to aria torresdale hospital. The woman we know is critical, the mans condition is still unknown. Back at the scene police collected as much evidence as they could. They were able to come up with h a detailed description of the suspects car a two toned maroon tan or gray circa 1997 ford pickup truck with a ladder rack and a ladder. The investigation also revealed Something Else the driver did right after he struck the victims. After investigation learned it was actually a hitandrun accident, a pickup truck came down the left lane as they were crossing the street struck both pedestrians. The subject stopped temporarily, helped move the female victim to the side of the road and then fled eastbound on street road into bensalem township. Reporter and police are hoping that that detailed description of the pickup truck will at least give someone some information, maybe some clue as to who this person might be. A house fire seriously injured one person in camden. The flames broke out shortly before 7 oclock last night on the 400 block of berkeley street. When firefighters arrived they found the victim inside with severe burns. Theres no word yet on what sparked that fire. A group of teenagers beat a 57yearold homeless man to death in a philadelphia neighborhood. Police have arrested two of the teens and this morning detectives are looking for the others involved in this brutal murder. Police are looking for more after a fatal attack over the weekend in mayfair that claimed the life of a homeless man. Seen them go by. Seen them run after him. Caught on this home Surveillance Video the owner asked to remain anonymous. A 57yearold homeless man was beaten to death by a group of teens on the 4200 block of lorring street. The video shows the victim being followed before he was attacked out of frame. Ran away laughing like it was funny and they said we got him. They hit his head into the wall so hard that i felt it in my house on the second floor. Reporter that neighbor ran out to help the victim. The teens scattered. The 57yearold was that rushed to the hospital where he died. Two of the teens were arrested after a neighbor recovered a cell phone. Residents are rattled. Cant believe that because that guy has been up and down this neighborhood. Like why now, why right here . Reporter and neighbors are now planning a vigil. Susan ingram is suing the chain claiming she was sexually assaulted by therapist james deiter last year. Ingram also accuses the company of putting her at risk because it knew of at least one prior complaint against deiter who is now in jail. I was just totally traumatized with sadness, pain, sobbing. A buzz feed investigation found that 180 women in all have made similar claims against massage envy. The company responded yesterday with a statement that reads in part, each of these incidents is heartbreaking for us. Even one incident is too many. The Navajo Nation says president trumps pocahontas remark at the white house yesterday was an example of cultural innocence activity. Cloud cover trying to dip in our direction but we have fairly dry air in place so i think most of these clouds erode and were going for a mostly sunny call across the region today. By noon up to 54 degrees which matches yesterdays high and by 3 oclock today, were going to go to 59, might even get 60 degrees briefly on the thermometer this afternoon. So, not too shabby, light winds and by 6 oclock, 50 degrees. A lot of areas in and around here will be challenging 60 or a little better than that. Cooler air well out to the northwest but in the east were looking mild and that sets us up for a pretty nice afternoon and evening today for putting up those christmas lights. Tomorrow is also going to be mild but i think temperatures are going to dip in the afternoon and it might be a little bit more breezy so if you got to put it off until tomorrow, you can but today is really the ideal day to get that stuff done. And on sunday, sun in the morning probably gives way to a little bit more cloud cover in the afternoon. Overall ill call it partly sunny. And it still looks fairly seasonable with a high of 53 on sunday. Then monday mostly sunny and nice, 55 degrees. December arrives on friday. And it looks like were going to start out the month above average. I can deal with that cause january is coming, february behind it. It is. And then march. And those are all cold. New this morning, more than a hundred passengers have been rescued from a ferry that ranking a ground new yorks east river. This happened just off a pier near the south street sea port in Lower Manhattan yesterday evening. The u. S. Coast guard says the ferry was headed to queens when it became stuck. Thankful you will there are no no thankfully there are no reports of injuries. Pope francis is in myanmar to discuss the refugee crisis. Lets go on outside and check the schuylkill for you. Were watching this construction eastbound construction has cleared on the schuylkill but look how slower westbound on the schuylkill. This is a live look at south street as you head towards the vine street expressway. Up ahead weve got both lanes blocked and all traffic has to exit and then reenter. Theyre in the process of clearing that and in the meantime, you can see how backed up traffic gets on the schuylkill expressway westbound. We warned you about that closure yesterday and were watching it happen right now. Should be clear pretty soon but in the meantime its slow on the schuylkill westbound. Police investigation has wrapped up with this accident involving beds pedestrians and street road has reopened in bucks county between philmont avenue and trevose road. Outside on the turnpike eastbound approaching bensalem we had some construction out here eastbound that had been blocking the right lane. It has since cleared so were moving better there.
