A threeyearold girl shot herself with a gun inside a home in philadelphias king sesing section. Now her grandmother and her father are facing charges. Good morning, catherine. Reporter good morning, tam. Doctors here at chot are trying to save this little girls leg after she accidentally shot herself over the weekend. Police say her father and her grandmother are facing charges. Lets go to the video of that 64yearold grandmother. Police say that the grandmother was watching the threeyearold girl when the girl found her fathers gun and pulled the trigger. It happened sunday around noon inside a kingsessing home. Police say the girls father told the grandmother to secure the gup when he went to work so she put it in the closet with no lock. The grandmother hid the gun after the shooting. A call to 911 from the home only reported a person bleeding and police say initially the grandmother wasnt helping medics who were trying to figure out what happened. At the time determine what actually happened inside the house. The grandmother is not helping at this point telling us she didnt know. She has three gunshot wound which came from one bullet. It looks like the child had her legs folded, through her thigh and calf and lower calf out. Reporter and charges for the father and the grandmother include Reckless Endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child. The grandmother also faces an Additional Charge of tampering with evidence. From our new jersey news room, the red cross is helping a Gloucester County family that lost their home in a 3 alarm fire. Firefighters were called out just after 6 00 yet evening. When they arrived flames were shooting out of the garage. Several vehicles collided in a crash in newcastle, delaware.
