On the schuylkill expressway westbound we have the right lane being blocked as well as the offramp to 30th street. Should be cleared by about 5 00 a. M. But that ongoing construction slowing you down a little bit on the schuylkill expressway. At least they havent been shutting it down, they just have restrictions. Schuylkill eastbound between the turnpike and the blue route, we have construction out there that is blocking the left lane so crews are out there as well buT Construction westbound near city avenue has cleared so some better news there. We do have an accident we want to talk about in mount laurel in burlington county. Watch for crews on the scene right on the new jersey turnpike as you head southbound at exit four, thats the exit for route 73, crews were on the scene with that accident although through this area we see the green traffic flow so certainly not creating a big problem at this early hour but something to watch for. Also 495 weve got the two left lanes continuing to be blocked here in northern delaware between edgemoor road and claymont. Theyve been wrapping this up early enough that it hasnt been causing too many problems. Theyre scheduled to clear by 7 00 a. M. Lets begin with that breaking news. We are tracking a Large Police Presence on a community in Atlantic County, new jersey. Lets go right to action News Reporter Katherine Scott who is live in Egg Harbor City to tell us what she knows. Katherine. Reporter matt, well, were still waiting for Law Enforcement to make a statement confirming what weve been hearing but there is a Large Police Presence in this neighborhood. Where were standing right now is actually by a mobile command unit set up by Atlantic County Emergency Services and there are police throughout the neighborhood. Lets go to video from this scene earlier. This is a car right up against a nearby home here and abandoned on the 900 block of burger street. We do know a state Police Helicopter has been in the air and police have been out on foot apparently conducting a search. We come across k9 units walking through the dark streets here in this neighborhood but so far they havent confirmed what exactly they are searching for or who exactly they are searching for. Its unclear if there have been any injuries overnight. We have made repeated calls to Law Enforcement in the area but we havent been able to confirm what this investigation is about, but again, it looks like there is an ongoing search here, right here by the Atlantic County Emergency Services command post. We can see multiple members of Law Enforcement on the scene. Again, weve seen k9 units walking the neighborhood and we are waiting for more information from police and of course well on the scene. Firefighters had to cut the roof off the car in order to rescue the occupants. This happened around midnight on the 500 block of bethlehem pike in Springfield Montgomery county. The driver is okay. Three passengers are being treated at the hospital. Bethlehem pike was closed in the area of gordon lane overnight for the investigation. New on action news, the search for a man involved in several abduction attempts in the lehigh valley. Investigators say the man approached an 18yearold student from Moravian College in bethlehem yesterday morning. He touched her arm, then grabbed her hand and wouldnt let go until she started screaming. The man ran to a light blue older model car and drove off. A few hours later, the Bethlehem Area School district reported that a man approached a Liberty High School student. I dont feel unsafe but i would just refer to walk with someone else or always like be prepared just in case it happens. Call Bethlehem Police if you have any information about that man. And were getting new details this morning about the latest deadly shooting rampage in america. Yesterday a gunman in Northern California went on a random shooting spree going after complete strangers and even targeting an Elementary School. Overnight we learned that a few of his neighbors may have sparked this violence. Abcs diane macedo has the latest. Reporter this Morning School teachers and staff in Northern California are credited with saving their students lives during a school official. There is no doubt in my mind based on the video that i saw saved countless lives and children. Reporter Authorities Say a gunman killed at least four people in a rampage in stretched across seven locations. Individual shooter was bent on engaging and killing people at random. Reporter after he shot randomly at several homes, police say the gunman made his way to this Elementary School during the busy morning dropoff. One of the teachers came running out around the building told us all to run inside theres a shooter coming. Reporter quick thinking staffers heard shots and immediately placed the school on lockdown. He did shoot at a number of classrooms. It appears that because he couldnt make any access to any of the rooms, that they were locked, that he gave it up. Reporter the gunman sprayed this truck with bullets hitting a mother and her child. Authorities say the shooter, a 43yearold local man, was known to Police Following a january arrest for assault with a deadly weapon. One of the four victims killed was a neighbor he was accused of assaulting before that arrest. And this morning investigators are hinting there could be more victims. Im saying that there are relatives of his that should be home that are not and were not able to locate them. Reporter diane macedo, abc news new york. A second case of armed road rage on i95 led to an arrest. Chopper6 was over martin mills road and levick street in northeast philadelphia yesterday morning as police took the 23yearold driver into custody. Investigators say diamond gibson got into an altercation with another driver on i95 and flashed a firearm. This happened hours after another incident. Police say the driver of a buick rendezvous fired two shots at another driver on monday night. Bristol Township Police are still searching for that driver. No one was hurt in either incident. Two women say an upper darby doctor fondled them during a physical. Police have charged 82yearold Brij Srivastava with indecent assault. He works at the long lane medical center. Police say he has another office on front street in north philadelphia and are asking any other patients who may have been victimized to come forward. A bucks county man faces charges for assuming the identity of a 27yearold woman. New britain Township Police say Kevin Mccreary took the profile pictures off the social media site. He super imposed them over the enabled bodies of women engaged in pornographic acts and distributed the pictures on social media. Police say the victims then began receiving emails from strange men soliciting her for sex and one man even showed up at her house. This could have led to dangerous situation. The type of people that were attracted to these posts werent your average people that you really want to know. Investigators are looking for more possible victims. Contact police if you have any information. Happening today, police are holding a blood drive in honor of a wounded Pennsylvania State trooper. It takes place at the bethlehem barracks from 9 00 a. M. To 3 00 p. M. Corporal seth kelly remains hospitalized more than a week after a gunman shot him in the line of duty in plainfield township. The more pronounced showers will be in the morning though so when were on the air tomorrow well almost certainly be showing you rain especially to the northern half of the region but everybody has got to be tuning in early to make sure that your roads are dry or not too terribly wet. By about 10 oclock it looks like this is winding down and then sunshine in the afternoon. But behind this departing front it will be somewhat mild with a high of 58 degrees but 35 Miles Per Hour wind gusts will build in in the afternoon, so temperature comes up a bit tomorrow but the winds will also be a factor. What we have confirmed is that four juveniles have escaped from the Harbor Fields Juvenile Detention Center which is in Egg Harbor City, new jersey. We understand that this vehicle may have something to go do with this, maybe one of the juveniles had taken the vehicle and crashed it as they tried to escape but once again, we know that four juveniles have escaped the harbor field juvenile Detention Center in Atlantic County, new jersey. Police are looking for them right now and our Katherine Scott is on the ground down there. Shell have more details on that search coming up a little later on action news. We have new Surveillance Video showing a georgia School Bus Driver helping to save middle School Students from a fiery crash. A pickup truck slammed into the bus in douglassville on friday. The bus driver says her first concern was the three children on board. The bus actually went over. We thought we were going to roll and i could only think about the children because i didnt have time to even warn them or tell them that this is happening, it just happened. She saw smoke and so did a few other people who stopped to help. Everyone made it off the bus safely. The driver of the pickup truck survived. The Douglas County School District plans to honor crawfordrichardson for her life saving actions. Happening today were expecting to hear from the three u. C. L. A.
