Turning to our forecast blue skies but chilly and very windy today as we get a first check of the accuweather forecast. Adam joseph joins us now. Some of those gusty winds were pretty strong. Especially early in the day. Now that the storm has headed into new england the winds are relaxing. Lets take a look at the speeds where they clocked in earlier today. Philadelphia 41 miles an hour on the brink of 50 miles an hour in cape may. Just shy of that in lakehurst, millville, 43 miles an hour and well duplicate that for the city of wilmington. Satellite and radar theres that low moving north of ottawa canada just to the west of quebec. That brought that soaking rain all day yesterday into last night and there you can see those clouds breaking apart way decent amount of sunshine at the present hour here in the delaware and Lehigh Valleys. Accumulated rain since sunday morning, a general one to 2 inches across much of the area in the green but those pockets of yellows between two and more than 4inches of rain, the southern bucks county, northern Burlington County through Mercer County also chester county, berks county even parts of the Lehigh Valley. In fact, we take a look at some of those higher totals, trenton over 3inches, the same for mount holly and over 4inches for mount laurel lakehurst there with totals coming in about a four and a quarter inch of rain. We will chat about a dry forecast for the most part and temperatures soaring into the 70s again. Alicia and in that full accuweather forecast in just a little bit. Adam those rain totals tell the whole story here. The soaking rains whipping winds that we had yesterday caused damage all across our region. We start in delaware where a tree came crashing down on a house in claymont. No one was injured but take a look at that uprooted tree there. It punctured the roof on the 100 block of west delaware avenue. The owner said it was quite the harrowing wakeup call as im sure you can imagine. In west philadelphia, wind and rain ripped across north 60th street overnight. The owner of that tahoe truck there says the Severe Weather toppled this rusty utility pole and the wires right onto his vehicle. Damage was from the door to the roof and then it seems like it rolled back here and came off and smashed the back of the window. Reporter luckily he was not inside. At suburbanization delays lit up on all Regional Rail lines. The potential for high winds take down trees as we saw they did across our area in parts. Some folks say their monday started with delays and in new castle delaware this car stalled in high water around 8 40 this morning at airport road and macarthur drive. Always the reminder play it safe, dont try to drive through it. Sharrie. Yeah, we havent seen rain like this in awhile. All right alicia. Philadelphia police are hoping new Surveillance Video can lead to an arrest in a murder. Investigators want to talk to this man in connection to a shooting in West Oak Lane that killed a 17yearold. They believe he is the one who opened fire shooting the victim multiple times including twice in the head. The teenaged victim was found dead on the 6700 block of north 16th street wednesday october 18th. Now if you know anything about who this man is, youre asked to call police. Police say this man robbed the td bank on the 100 block of north black horse pike in delmar. The robbery was reported about 2 oclock yesterday afternoon. Now the suspect is thought to be in his mid 40s to 50s. His face was partly obscured by the gray sweatshirt and blue baseball cap he was wearing at the time. Time now for the action news traffic report this one. Monday, all right, meteorologist traffic reporter matt pelman in the action news traffic center. You can do whatever you want. We talk weather sometimes. We were talking weather a lot this morning when it was not cooperating for the morning ride, thats for sure, brian and sharrie. Its cooperating substantially more this afternoon and yet still weve got a few issues for the ride home like a crash here on the schuylkill expressway eastbound side at university city. Doesnt look like much but its enough to take out the right lane if youre traveling eastbound on the schuylkill just past university headed toward passyunk, only one lane is getting by so speeds like 10 Miles Per Hour there as you come east away from the boulevard. Also in the backlog there was a broken down truck near girard. Luckily that is now pushed off to the side. So lanes are opened there but not up ahead Near University avenue where that accident is in the right lane. Over on 95 its just typical afternoon volume but speeds like 8 Miles Per Hour as you travel northbound there by penns landing and weve had a bunch of downed trees and downed wires today because of those whipping winds. One is here in doylestown shutting down old new road near lower state road. Watching a crash up in berks county as you come out of berks into lehigh on 78 eastbound. 222 is going to be the much better bet for your travels between 100 and 22 and speaking of 100, there was a crash along it in pottstown northbound side at state street. Luckily that just cleared out. Lets grab the ipad, okay, no waze this afternoon so well check the traffic report again, brian and sharrie, coming up in the next half hour. Sounds good, my friend. Turning back to our forecast adam is here now and it is a very windy day. I think i got knocked over a couple of times. Far better than yesterday. Ill take the wind over the rain. Rain just drove through on our sunday. Continuing to improve especially toward the end of the week. Live on sky6 all of that cloud cover moving out of here, barely a cloud at least on this Vantage Point on sky6 over the ben franklin bridge so were dealing with sun glare this evening for that rush hour as youre heading westbound. This morning we had a lot of those clouds and still some damp roadways but as we head into halloween tomorrow, take a look at this, guys. Its a mummy. Hes doing the twist and shout i think. Ill let him do the dancing. The forecast here winds relaxed. Clear and cool. This time tomorrow night 6 oclock your temperature at 53 degrees and by 9 oclock, your temperature coming in at 48 degrees. So, definitely a really nice evening for some trickortreating but it will be a little bit on the cool side so definitely want to maybe put on a layer underneath the childrens costumes of course dont want to put that jacket over it. As you look at the numbers 55 allentown trenton reading. 57 philadelphia 56 in dover and temperatures in the mid and upper 50s right along the shore so it is a really cool day despite weve kind of gained a little bit of sunshine here this afternoon. Winds gusting right now in the 20 to 25 miles an hour range for most locations. That is far lower than the 45 plus range we were early on today. Mount pocono the strongest right now at 28 miles an hour. Satellite and radar there go the clouds. You can see that beautiful break coming in from philadelphia all points down to the south. There is a front to the north and the west with some showers. That will remain to the north and west and our next opportunity for heavier cloud cover or a quick shower will be until wednesday. So, for tonight, partly cloudy, less wind and cool, 37 in allentown, 38 reading, 43 in millville, 45 for philadelphia, 44 in dover. As we look at the winds here as we go into halloween tomorrow, again the last day of october, still breezy, out of the westnorthwesterly direction all day sustained about 12 to 14 Miles Per Hour. There could be some higher gusts but as we go into the evening hours for trickortreating those winds do come down quite a bit so that will at least rid ourselves of any sort of wind chill factor once we lose the sun tomorrow evening. Future tracker 10 oclock tomorrow morning, i know ill be heading to a parade at preschool for some of those kids for halloween parade and if youre heading out early in the morning definitely want to kind of put on an extra layer. 45 degrees in the suburbs. 50 for the city and as we go into the afternoon tomorrow, still very cool. Much like today. Highs only in the low to the mid50s as we get about 2, 3 oclock tomorrow afternoon. Your four day at 4 00 forecast, 58 for your halloween. It is a lot of sun, cool breeze, though, out of that westnorthwest. A lot of clouds wednesday, a shower, 56 degrees and we are back into the 70s, a big recovery here thursday, friday with sun and clouds, maybe a late day shower on friday at 74 degrees. A 31 minute ride to get from the blue route into the vine. Beyond that at university our earlier crash has cleared out of the way so the lanes are opened there as well. Just a lot of volume at this point on the eastbound side of the schuylkill speeds like 10 Miles Per Hour.
