Thank you, karen. Breaking overnight a multi alarm blaze broke out at a cherry hill apartment complex. People heard police banging on their doors to get them out. Action News Reporter Katherine Scott is live at the colonials apartment complex on Cooper Landing road with more on these dramatic evacuations. Katherine. Reporter matt, there were some terrifying moments earlier. Residents have since been allowed back inside this apartment complex after this overnight fire here in cherry hill. One occupant was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. No firefighters were hurt. This fire broke out on the fifth floor of the sixth floor building around 11 45 last night at the colonials apartment West Building on the 800 block of Cooper Landing road in cherry hill. Police and fire crews immediately began knocking on doors telling residents to evacuate. The Cherry Hill Fire Department and Mutual Aid Companies responded. Several apartments were damaged in the fire which was placed under control around 12 30 this morning. Neighbors here saw thick smoke and heavy flames. They grabbed their kids, their pets, maybe a few belongings and got out. This is the first floor. The officer banged on my door and told us to get out so i grabbed my children and ran. So i ran around to see what was going on. It was a huge fire. It was really big. Heard the alarm, fire alarm about 11 oclock. We just left the apartment and it was so bad, too bad. Katherine, thank you. A young mother is in jail this morning suspected but not charged in the suspicious deaths of her two young boys in wilmington. One is said to be five years old the other just a few months. Police were called to check on the well being of those children. Officers found the boys dead but also smelled a strong odor of gas. A group of children and adults from the neighborhood held a vigil outside the home last night. I had this terrible feeling was it the little boy with the dreads, cute tiny little boy was it him because he would come around all the time and he would always ask to play with the dog. Im just broken hearted. The police chief says it appears the boys drowned but they are waiting for the medical Examiners Office to rule on the cause of death. New here on action news, Chester County dentist is charged with indecent assault and harassment. Authorities says he practices under the name of michael afash. Hes accused of having indecent contact with a 21yearold woman during a Job Interview and dental examination. Southern Chester County Regional Police say it happened last month at the new garden family dentistry in new garden township. I95 near the blue route construction here near the blue route has cleared and other areas were still seeing construction on 95 as well as on 295 southbound between the black horse pike and 42. And on route 30 near warwick road so the crews are out there and the one on warwick is going to last until 9 oclock. New jersey turnpike southbound approaching exit one the crews are here blocking the left lane. That will be until 6 oclock. A lot of Construction Projects going on as well as here the burlington bristol bridge. However they just cleared it so traffic here on the bridge moving a little bit better right now, matt. The Business Owners and employees plan to testify at a state Senate Hearing about their economic pain from the tax. It comes after a day after reports from philadelphias city controller Alan Butkovitz says the tax has affected the bottom line of at least 60 percent of the businesses he surveyed. The city could have received the revenues by sustaining the wage tax at its current rate instead of a bait and switch that took place with the beverage tax.
