In excess of 18 additional firearms. Some explosives and several thousand rounds of ammo willing with some Electronic Devices that we are evaluating at this point. I mentioned that s. W. A. T. Is about to breach the house up in northern nevada and then im going to give you an update on the casualty numbers. We are currently standing at 527 for individuals injured. And individuals that have died or passed away, 59. So, what we are doing at this point we have several people calling about personal items located at the stadium. We are not done processing that scene yet and once we are done processing the scene, we will make arrangements for people that attended the stadium that believe they are personal items there to respond to the area and we will help you retrieve your items. At this point i want to bring greg castle forward from the county Fire Department and he will give you an update on the Family Resource center. Prior to that, i think its important for and i appreciate you have been listening to the Sheriff Joe Lombardo give an update on the tragic consequences. It was a man that was shot right there, they were trying to take him out. He was all bloody and he was unconscious. Reporter 58 people are confirmed dead with more than 500 injured. Police didnt take long in finding the shooter. They say he is 64yearold Stephen Paddock and that he shot himself before s. W. A. T. Teams got into the room. And police say he checked into the 32nd floor of the mandalay bay resort overlooking the festival. The distance between the two, about a quarter mile. He knocked out the hotel windows and began firing. This is asteroid fell out of the sky. Reporter thats paddocks brother. He says this was totally unexpected. The 64 worked as an accountant and was living in a Retirement Community in mesquite nevada northeast of. Theres no political, theres no religious, theres no any of that stuff. Reporter we also know this was well planned. Investigators say they found almost a dozen weapons inside the hotel room. They say paddock built platforms by the windows so he could better shoot into the crowd. Now his family also said paddock liked to gamble, thats why he was in vegas. Now again that number 500 injured, the people who have passed away may go up but we certainly hope and pray that it doesnt. Steve gold of wilmington says it was like something out of a horror movie. I could see people running, you know, bleeding and some people just had blood everywhere. I dont think sometimes it was people trying to pick people up and they get bloody from that. Reporter he says during the chaos people started climbing or tearing down sections of the fence that surrounded the Festival Grounds but steve says even as he fled for his life, he took a moment to contact loved ones realizing they would soon hear about the attack knowing he was there. I actually called my mom while shots were being fired told her i loved her and told her im going to run, ill be okay. Reporter he admits though he didnt feel safe until he made it inside a nearby casino. There he met with other survivors desperately trying to contact loved ones whom they lost during the panic. Theres people just sitting on the casino floor and some of them were crying. This lady next to me she goes i know my boyfriends dead, i just know it. He didnt make it. Reporter megan was also in vegas with friends enjoying the concert when the gunman opened fire. Megan says there is no way to describe the feeling when your instinct to survive kicks in. Like we were running out of the fence and it was still going on like the gun shots, like a machine gun shots behind you. It was like a terrifying feeling to be running backwards like away from shots right behind you. Reporter both megan and steve say theyre grateful to be alive and safe but their hearts are broken for the victims. Just sometimes you just start crying, you know, why did this happen . For parents, its tough to explain. Dmitry bar la says shell hide it from her fiveyearold but talk to her 13yearold theo about what happened. Same goes for vonda kenner. School psychologist jessica kandorski says for young kids under second grade its best to shield them from upsetting news but for older School Aged Kids that can be tough. So, when my kids get home im going to say did you hear about anything today . Is anything going on . That way you can clear up misinformation. She says stick to the facts when telling kids what happened. Be direct about what happened, tell the truth and if they say could this happen here, it could, but its very rare. And reassure them theyre safe. Also for teenagers on social media encourage them to focus on the positives, the first responders, the acts of heroism. Its also a good time to remind older kids to be aware of their surroundings. The doctor says along with that talk about just in case family disaster plans. But always be minds full of your own emotions. So, if you become fearful, they will pick up on that fear. The doctor also says if your child seems to be fixated on the tragedy or you have other concerns, its helpful to reach out to the School Psychologist or guidance counselor as a resource. All all 11 guys doing their jobs. We fuel off that emotion when hes making guys miss. Any time you have those big plays we just use that energy and it fuels us. Eagles home with arizona next week. Puck about to drop on the flyers season. They left for the west coast earlier today. Before they did the team held a luncheon at the chop house in gibbsboro new jersey. At this time of year all the questions surround expectations and for the flyers its all about one thing, a shiny thing. Expectations for our season make a run. I mean, you know, been too long we were saying make the playoffs. Its nice to make the playoffs but when you make the playoffs you got to try to make it all the way so we definitely do going to do everything we can in our power to make a run at it. Meteorologist cecily tynan here with our unusual but welcome fall heat. Yes, beautiful weather today. Slightly above normal. But temperatures really climbing by the end of the week. Lets head over to the action news weather center. I love this shot. Sky6 taking a look at the center city skyline. The sun officially setting at 6 42. You can see plenty of blue skies. You can see the sun actually reflecting off the buildings and well see plenty of sunshine as we head through the week and temperatures really going up. So, the accuweather highlights show you tomorrow another fall beauty. Kind of a carbon copy of today but then winds really increase out of the southwest so by later in the week, temperatures rising up into the 80s. We really could use some rain but we only have a minimal chance of some showers as we head toward the latter part of the week and the weekend. Temperatures right now very comfortable. Philadelphia 73. Down from our high of 75. Allentown and reading 72. Trenton 71. Atlantic city airport currently 66 degrees. So, satellite and radar showing a dominant feature for our weather this week is a very broad area of High Pressure. So, what this does, it provides substenance, sinking air. It kind of squeezes out all the moisture from the atmosphere. Today dewpoints in the 60s, very dry and this will edge a little bit farther to the east bring us that return flow out of the southwest and that is what will bring us a big time warmup for the second half of the week. Tonight though clear and calm and seasonably cool, not quite as cool as the past couple of nights. Philadelphia 54. Allentown 43. Cape may 56 and wilmington 51. Tomorrow with this High Pressure in control, wall to wall sunshine, blue skies like today. Winds pretty light out of the eastsoutheast. The high matching todays high of 75 degrees. By wednesday, though, this is when this High Pressure kind of expands down to the south we get more of some southwesterly flow, 78 degrees and this front looks like it will likely be hung up so as long as it stays away from us we get that heat pump with temperatures in the 80s, thursday right into the weekend with again a minimal chance of showers. So, if you like things warm, well likely stay that way for much of the year, the october outlook showing a big trough out to the west with below normal temperatures. Theyre getting snow in parts of the rockies today. But as far as us, greatest chance of above normal temperatures right over our region for really most of the month and the sevenday forecast looks like that for the first week of october. So, the exclusive accuweather 7day forecast, its sunny, low humidity tomorrow, temperatures again slightly above normal with a high of 75 degrees. Wednesday bump it up to 78. Thursday feeling like summer, 84 degrees mix of clouds and sunshine. Could get a sprinkle on thursday night and friday as long as that front stays away from us, its partly sunny, still warm, 82 degrees. Saturday 80 degrees, slight chance of a morning shower and sunday for the eagles, dress for summer. Temperatures running 15 degrees above normal, 84 degrees and monday increasing clouds with a possibility of some showers and a high of 79 degrees. So, summer is not giving up quite yet without a fight. Thank you cecily. Finally tonight members of the camden Fire Department are raising money for the people of puerto rico.
