Reporter there are some surveillance cameras nearby and police were out looking for footage this morning to help in the investigation as they continue to look for the suspect that is considered armed and dangerous. I heard two loud sounds. Boom boom. Gunshots in phoenixville at 9 45 p. M. A busy street lined with bars and restaurants and even where the blob was fillped. Nothing happened like this except for six years ago. Its scary. This morning investigators walked the area looking for voice video and other evidence. This happened shortly after 9 45 at the childrens plaza. And 41yearold carpenter and the victim mitchell, had been arguing when carpenter pulled out a handgun. They picked up the gun and bullets and had lights on. And they say that carpenter fired one shot at mitchell and after a short chase he shot him in the upper body and fled. Didnt know josh but i knew his dad. This is the second son that got killed the first one got kills in pottstown. Everybody knew who did it. He did it right here. The gun was recovered by a nearby church and that the weapon was previously reported stolen and an attempt to remove the serial number. The investigation is ongoing by the county and phoenixville police, at this point there is no word what the two were arguing about. Katherine scott, channel 6 action news. In other news police made several arrests during an Armed Robbery overnight in southeast philadelphia. It happened after midnight at the 6400 block of bustleton avenue and the two victims were flagged down at gun point and they stopped a vehicle matching the trips by the robbery victims. All three people were taken into custody and two were identified as the robbers and charges are pending against those robbery suspects. Two vehicles collided on roosevelt boulevard overnight. And from the look of the wreckage its amazing nobody was hurt.
