Okay, thats a new number. 74 is of usually our average high for this day. Its already 74 degrees in millville. 72 in atlantic city. Today temperatures are going way up there. Heres how its going to roll. By 7 00 a. M. , 71 degrees, mostly cloudy skies, sunshine mixing with clouds through the afternoon. At lunchtime 82. At 3 oclock, 86. Your high today is 88. Schuylkill expressway still wrapping up a little bit here on the westbound side with the overnight construction between gulph mills and this point at 202. Right lane is blocked for that overnight paving work. They should be gone here any minute. Theyve already cleared from the westbound lanes around 30th street and crews that were working eastbound near the blue route 476 have also cleared out of the way. Lets check this spot. Vine street expressway was opened last night. No overnight closures this week. So, a little bit of a break for us which is kind of nice. Traffic moving in both directions between broad street and the schuylkill. But in Lower Gwynedd by the Hunt Club Apartments were still watching this crash along welsh road. That of course is 63 at hunt club trail. In northeast philadelphia were watching construction that was closing the ramp from woodhaven road westbound to the boulevard southbound. It was work on the boulevard itself that had that ramp closed. Thats all now gone so everybody is reopened there and still some overnight work in delaware wrapping up along 95 northbound near mlk. Northbound near 295, three lanes blocked there and both of those spots the work should clear in the next half hour, tam. Okay, thank you, matt. Developing this morning a shocking show of gunfire in the germantown section targeted young people killing one teen and wounding a number of others including an 11yearold girl. Action News ReporterJeanette Reyes is live for us now at einstein hospital where the survivors are being treated. Good morning, jeanette. Reporter good morning, tam. This is just a horrific shooting. The 16yearold boy who is dead, he actually was already unresponsive before arriving to the hospital and was pronounced dead shortly after, the youngest victim just 11 years old and police are still very much in the early stages of this investigation. This deadly shootout happened along the 100 block of east pastorius street in germantown just past 8 30 last night. Police got a call about a shooting and arrived to find multiple young gunshot victims. The first was a 16yearold boy shot in his back. He was unresponsive when he was transported to einstein medical center. Minutes later he was pronounced dead. The second victim was an 11yearold girl, grazed by a bullet. She is is in stable condition. An 18yearold man shot once in his torso and a 19yearold shot multiple times in his leg and stomach. He is in critical condition. No arrests have been made but homicide and crime scene personnel have a whole street block worth of evidence to process. We know two of the victims ran into a house. The same house. Were holding that house as a crime scene. Homicide detectives are going to search that property with a warrant. So, theres a possibility well find something. Reporter and police are collecting a lot of evidence as we speak. At this point, though, no suspect description no, weapons have been discovered or recovered and at this point also no motive has been identified. New this morning a teenaged girl is recovering after being rescued from a fire in the citys parkside section. There was heavy smoke and flames showing from the home when firefighters arrived. The fire started on the 1200 block of north wilton street at 1 30 a. M. The 13yearold girl and her cat were pulled from the house. She is being treated for minor injuries. A house next door was also damaged by the smoke and flames. Three teens were arrested in connection with an assault on septas broad street line. It happened last week between the city hall and girard of a stations. Police say the three girls were bullying other girls on the train and then attacked a temple student who tried to intervene. Two girls surrendered to Police Yesterday afternoon. A third was taken into custody. Police continue to search for a gunman who dressed as a pizza Delivery Driver in an attempted robbery. It happened at a home on the 200 block of garrett street in the citys East Mount Airy section yesterday afternoon. Police say the 48yearold victim answered his door to a man dressed as a delivery man holding a pizza box. That man then asked him if he had ordered a pizza. The homeowner said no and tried to close the door. The two began to struggle and then the phony delivery man shot the victim while running away. Police say the victim is in stable condition and they do not know if he was targeted. Now to the growing crisis in puerto rico. Fema and First Responders are on the island but most people trapped in the american territory call the conditions there right now hellish with no power, fresh water or medical supplies. The u. S. Is sending more help. 26 ships with critical supplies and 2500 more troops to help try to establish security and distribute aid. And this is coming one week after Hurricane Maria just devastated that island nation. The president has come under some criticism that his administrations response has been slow and that his attention personally has instead been distracted by his public battle against the nfl but yesterday trump praised his efforts and said hell visit the island next tuesday. Rescues are still going on in the caribbean island of dominica. Electricity, Running Water and cell service are all out in most places on the island. The people were taken to the nearby islands of guadalupe and martinique. You look at some of those pictures from puerto rico and theres just noplace for people to go. Everybodys house is torn apart. And we hope that they get some help. We know that maria is still parked off our coastline, too. Yeah, its been slow to move and its actually going to slow down even more but whats going to happen is when we get that cold front it pushes it out to sea so were not going to see any big impacts but such a devastating storm. Somebody is up bright and early, its sky6 looking live at the Commodore Barry bridge. Still a fair amount of clouds out there and those clouds are spinning out there in part because of maria coming off of that, some high clouds through the area. The temperature is 72 degrees right now. It is mild, it is sticky. Winds are out of the northeast currently at 10 miles per hour. Theyve picked up a little bit. Pressure is Holding Steady and the ocean temperature a warm 74. Heres that satellite and radar image. Its kind of hard to see because the clouds are high and thin. You can see a little bit of gray air months especially over south jersey and delaware and parts of south jersey and delaware we have fog thats an issue this morning as well. Heres maria kind of sitting and spinning off the coast so giving some rain down to the south. Were going to be dry not really impacted by this. The one thing were seeing is the continued risk for high returns, so watch for that if you are down at the jersey shore. I know a lot of people love summer in september at the shore so be careful about that one. The big story today is that its another day that feels like summer. Even seven, 9 oclock in the morning youre in the low 70s already. By 9 oclock youre sitting at whats usually our actual high for this date. Its the overnight milling and paving work that theyve been doing. They cleared from the eastbound side but westbound its still just that left lane getting by here approaching 202. They were supposed to be gone at 5 00. They should be gone any time but for now, one lane out of commission as they continue that overnight work. Meanwhile on another chunk of 76, the pennsylvania turnpike, theres still some eastbound work between morgantown and downingtown as you come out of berks county into chester county, right lane is out of commission there. On the other side of the fence, westbound theyre working in the left and center lanes between willow grove and the fort washington. Should be gone there any time. And then in bucks county, theres work on the ramps connecting the turnpike with del val, exit 358. Some 15 minute stoppages on those ramps until they clear out. So, three separate zones were watching this morning on the pennsylvania turnpike. We were saying overnight the turnpike connector bridge was the way to go instead of the burlington bristol. That was closed for overnight construction. Should be reopened now and that was a twonight overnight closure so last night was supposed to be the last night of that. There is work going on along 130 both ways at 413, some Line Striping there, thats going to be out there much of the day blocking a lane and a live look in cherry hill route 70 at route 41 kings highway westerly scheduled to have work done. Thousands of people forced from their homes from a california wildfire are anxiously waiting to see if their homes will be damaged from the flames. The canyon fire is burning south of los angeles. Mandatory evacuations are under way for more than 1300 people and schools remain closed. The fire has burned 2,000 acres so far and is only 15 percent contained. Crews say strong winds are making it difficult to get the fire under control. 16,000 firefighters are working to keep the flames away from homes. Experts say this should never have happened a water main break made for a chaotic day at one World Trade Center in new york city. Water cascadeed down the stairs and coursed down the elevator shafts trapping several people in the elevators. Firefighters rescued those in the elevators within 20 minutes. Port Authority Officials say a water main for the air conditioning system had burst. President donald trump is headed to the midwest today to discuss tax reform.
