The shooter was identified as vester flannigan who used the name Brian Williams online and was fire from the station. I remember many incidences of his anger coming to the fore, we dismissed him and he did not take that well. The 41yearold with a history of workplace problems fax aid note to abc news on the morning of the shooting saying he was a victim of racism and harassment, and a powder keg waiting to go boom. One man is in custody after a gun fight with philadelphia police, happened last night in the citys german town section, police were called to the 100 block of east street after reports of a man with a gun. They ordered the man to drop his weapon and instead tried to run from officers. While he was running, he turned around and started firing shots to the police. And police fired and the suspect kept shooting while Police Chased him down, it appears the weapon was fired until it was empty and a second gun was found near the scene of the arrest. From our new jersey newsroom, police say that this man, 56yearold mark allen of tuckerton, ocean county, is going to jail for trying to lure a girl out of air public library, according to reports he gave the girl a note asking him to go to the movies with him. He was the target of an undercover operation and was arrested last may. Yesterday he was sentenced to five years in jail. The Investigation Continues into a Motel Robbery at the winfield section overnight. It happened just before 4 00 a. M. On city avenue at the motor inn. A hotel guest was robbed at gun point and his wallet was taken along with a phone and backpack, police are looking for two suspects. Just 30 minutes earlier and three miles away a person was assaulted at gun point at an attempted robbery at a 711, this is the lower section of merion township, three masked men were responsible and the victim was taken to a nearby hospital. Students that attend Drexel University are on alert after several homes were burglarize sd near campus. They are stepping up patrols in the hopes of finding whoever is responsible. That is right, five burglaries are reported between saturday and monday here off campus, off campus of Drexel University and at this point they have no suspects. In a short span of days, only five blocks apart, five burglaries were reported to Drexel Police, its scary and students were starting to feel it, and they wake up in the mid of the night and see an alert that says, oh wait there is a burglary next door to my house. Two apartments were hit in the block of powellton and a residence on the 3200 block. And the burglars struck between 6 00 and 8 00 a. M. And gottentory through unlocked doors and windows. Then two days later two more reported burglaries this time between the hours of 9 00 and 10 30 in the morning. Both occurred at an apartment house, the front door was propped open and the burglars muscled their way into two apartments.
