And as we go in through the afternoon look for a gusty thunderstorm but more importantly those drenching downpours. Not everybody sees them but if you do you want to slow it down because they could produce quick rising water on poor drainage area roadways. Matt pelman the end of this humid pattern is ahead in the accuweather 7day. Details coming up. David i would not like to be doing Road Construction in this heat and humidity but the crews were out and about lots of them overnight. Good morning america will have more on the investigation into the deadly crash coming up right after action news. Is it going to be more oppressive than yesterday . About the same. And probably a similar maybe slightly heightened chance of a drenching shower or thunderstorm later. Storm tracker6 live double scan, though, shows you that your morning commute is going to be dry. We have a couple of showers well out to the west of the area that probably will the no be an issue phil later. As we take a look outside we do promise or are hoping for the promise of some sunshine mixing with clouds but right now it looks fairly overcast at the airport and of course its still on the warm and muggy side. Your temperature at the airport currently is 78 degrees. Dewpoint has climbed up to 71. And once you get 70, youre talking oppressive humidity. So like yesterday, most of us are going to feel that way. Winds out of the southwest at about 11 miles per hour. In terms of precipitation the morning looks mainly dry. Now yesterday we did have a couple of isolated popup small cells for about five minutes really thumped you with some rain in a few corners of the enabled. That could happen here and there today as well but most of your rain is probably in the later afternoon hours. By 5 oclock you can see that its here and there. The thing about todays storms and showers is that in this humid air mass they could really open up a heavy downpour heavy enough to put so much rain down in a hurry some that of your roads are going to get temporarily flooded so slow it down if you see evidence that this has already happened where youre driving or youre caught in the middle of some of this stuff. By about nine, 9 30 most of this is do. The big issue would be the high chance of downpours. Lightning a moderate chance of that. Strong winds im posting moderate because there is some thought that if you get a thunderstorm with heavy enough downpours it could shoot out some brief gusty winds ahead of it but again the big issue today is going to be that downpour threat. Severe weather not so much. 81 degrees by 8 oclock, 84 by 11 oclock. 88 by 2 oclock, 89 is your high today. Warm and very muggy again with that spotty shower or thunderstorm chance this afternoon. High temperatures 83 in allentown, 84 in reading. Up closer to 90 in the i95 corridor and it looks like mid 80s down the shore. A nice day to get relief on the beach but if you see the skies getting threatening or you hear thunder get off the beach right away. 76 in the ocean water though, so thats pretty good and down south 75 in the ocean off rehoboth and bethany beach. As we take a look attempt to looks cloudy with some sunny breaks and late in the day a wave of low pressure rides along a stalled front just to our south. Its still humid and unsettled enough where we could actually get some more drenching showers or maybe even a strong thunderstorm or two tomorrow and that continues up until fairly late tomorrow evening. Your exclusive accuweather 7day forecast todays high is 89, humid some downpours in a few neighborhoods are possible. Tomorrow humid with some drenching thunderstorms 87 degrees the high but then finally on friday, yeah, its warm with a high of 86, very seasonable for this time of year but most importantly less humid. Saturday also looks pretty good sunny and warm with a high of 89 but not oppressive. And then a little bit more humid and hot on sunday with a late thunderstorm possible and you can see how that pattern continues into monday and tuesday. Okay. Thanks so much david. 5 40. A vehicle stopped on the shoulder here on the southbound side as you head down towards 252. But no major issues. All the lanes are opened and traffic in them is pretty light at this point. But a new issue this morning in edgemont township Delaware County. Gradyville road is now closed between dell chester road and cedar knoll lane. The road is collapsing in on itself. They have to make repairs that could last several weeks. Stay on route three or barren roads as alternates around gradyville road.
