STORAGE: Changes are being made to Maryport Inshore Rescue station to make additional room to keep their equipment in.
Work is underway at Maryport Inshore Rescue to increase their storage space.
They have started to carry out some minor work to the station to allow for more room to house their equipment
At the weekend assistance in the work was received from Chambers and Harrison and from Forth Engineering (Cumbria) Ltd.
Maryport Inshore Rescue thanked both companies, who gave help and loan of equipment.
The rescue service is also currently looking for new volunteers and would like to hear from men or women aged 18 and over that are interested in becoming involved as: lifeboat crew, swift water rescue crew, flood rescue crew, search and rescue crew and fundraising crew.
