Work Begins at Regency Oval
Work has started on the $7 million construction of Regency Oval which will create a new community reserve and a new home for Croydon Kings FC. On Monday 8 February 2021, Mayor Claire Boan and Minister Corey Wingard turned the first sod as works got underway. Construction of the new South Road freeway nearby presented an opportunity for us to work with the State Government to redevelop this underutilised space into an exciting new public facility, with two full-size synthetic soccer pitches, a community grass area, new clubrooms and community function room, plus car parking and lighting right around. We’ll show you more as the project progresses.
