Worcester man faces charges linked to Franklin fatal shooting
A Worcester man has been indicted on charges linked to the Oct. 29 shooting death of a 26-year-old Attleboro man in Franklin.
Marcus Thibodeau, 26, was indicted on Dec. 23 on the following charges: carrying a gun; possession of ammunition; and two counts of misleading police, according to a press release from the Norfolk District Attorney's Office.
He will be arraigned Tuesday in Norfolk County Superior Court.
DeAndre Akeem Scott, an Attleboro resident who formerly lived in Franklin, was fatally shot in the chest just after midnight on Oct. 29 in Franklin, authorities said.
In the DA's press release, prosecutors say that at about 12:42 a.m., Franklin police received a 911 call from Thibodeau, who reportedly said someone had been shot at his girlfriend’s home at 25 Elmwood St. However, he didn't provide any details.
