Mohammed Rahman appeared at Worcester Crown Court yesterday over drug and driving offences near Worcester.
The 37-year-old of Malthouse Croft, Birmingham, admitted possession with intent to supply crack cocaine (3.74g), a class A drug, with intent to supply when he appeared before Judge Nicolas Cartwright. He also admitted dangerous driving while behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Golf on the same date on the A440 Pershore Lane and the A38.
Simon Phillips, prosecuting, said that £2,850 had been found in the defendant's car on the day in question. The court heard that £35 was also found in the defendant's pocket.
William Dudley, defending, said there was no basis of plea from the defendant and that the defence case did not depart from that advanced by the Crown. However, he said: "Mr Iqbal (Rahman's co-defendant) was essentially the main man in this operation. The defendant was his driver."
