Wooster chamber Samira Zimmerly receives national honor

WOOSTER — The Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives announced its 40 Under 40, which includes Wooster's own Samira Zimmerly.
Zimmerly stepped into the role as president of the Wooster Area Chamber of Commerce in October as the first female to head the organization in its 118-year history. She has worked with the chamber for 10 years.
"It’s very humbling," Zimmerly said of the recognition. "2020 has been an extremely challenging year, so it brought just a little bit of light into the year that we have had. It’s a reminder of why you do what you do."
Kevin Day, chair of the chamber's board of directors, nominated Zimmerly for the honor.
