One night after scoring two runs in a defeat to the Buffalo Bison, the Worcester Red Sox faltered again offensively, recording just four hits in a 10-1 loss to the Bison Thursday at Thunder Ballpark in Trenton, New Jersey.
The Red Sox struggled to solve Buffalo starting pitcher Alek Manoah, who pitched six shutout innings and allowed just two hits while walking none and striking out 12. Worcester’s lone run came when it was already down big, courtesy of a Cesar Puello RBI sacrifice fly that scored Jonathan Arauz to cut the Bison lead to 5-1.
