A Woodstock man’s traffic-calming signs were a casualty of a city-wide sweep for nuisance signs on public property, but the city has now agreed to reimburse him.
Thom Ryerson, a resident on George Street in the city, said he had purchased about 25 lawn signs asking drivers to slow down, handing them out to neighbours along George and Canterbury streets.

It was just the latest in a string of recent efforts trying to get drivers to slow down along the residential street, where Ryerson said speeding has become a major issue over the past several years.
