The Woodland Police Department identify two men accused of a 2019 shooting homicide that left two people injured and one person dead. Working with gang taskforce detectives, police were able to arrest 22 year-old Francisco Ponce out of Woodland. Ponce was arrested on a warrant for several charges including: Murder, attempted murder, enhancements for criminal street gang activity and weapons charges. In related charges, detectives from Woodland's gang task force traveled to a state prison in central California on April 22 and took 26-year-old Joseph Gonzalez II into custody, police said. Gonzalez was transported to the Yolo County Jail on charges related to the 2019 homicide, police said. On April 23, Gonzalez was arraigned in Yolo County Superior Court for several charges including murder and attempted murder with enhancements for criminal street gang activity and weapons. Ponce and Gonzalez were brought in court together in order to have their cases heard at the same time, police said.
