On Monday, March 8th, International Women’s Day, Drug Policy Alliance and Women Grow partner to bring women advocates and business leaders across all sectors of the cannabis landscape together in New York, joining virtually to bring attention to the need for more women and people of color to have opportunities to participate in a legal cannabis market. Leaders of over 20 organizations will demand legislators pass comprehensive cannabis legalization that includes provisions of accessible entry points into the lucrative market. Women are urging the prioritization of a social equity licensing system, small business loans, and an incubator program along with community reinvestment.
