Amy June Knight was sentenced to home detention when she appeared in the Timaru District Court on Friday.
A Timaru woman who gave her son cannabis for his birthday and offered to supply methamphetamine to others on multiple occasions has been sentenced.
Amy June Knight, 39, appeared before Judge Joanna Maze at the Timaru District Court on Friday.
She had previously pleaded guilty to charges of offers to supply methamphetamine, supplying methamphetamine, unlawfully possessing explosives and supplying cannabis to a person under 18 years.
According to the summary of facts, the offending took place between April and November, 2020.
“On April 3, the defendant supplied $50 worth of cannabis to her son who had turned 16 years old,” the summary of facts says.
