Woman stabbed in chest Friday night on Syracuse’s North Side, police say

Syracuse, N.Y. — A 42-year-old woman was stabbed in the chest late Friday night on Syracuse’s North Side, according to Syracuse police.
Officers responded to the stabbing at about 10:13 p.m. in the 100 block of Pershing Avenue, Syracuse police spokesman Sgt. Matthew Malinowski said.
The woman was reported to have been stabbed at the intersection of Grant Boulevard and Court Street, police said.
The woman was taken to Upstate University Hospital and is expected to survive, police said.
