A woman was stabbed in her neck when an attempt was made to rob her gold chain (mangalsutra) in Udikeri village of Bailhongal taluk in the early hours of Tuesday. Renuka Kenchappa Dodli, 27, is said to have fought with two chain snatchers to save her gold chain. She has been hospitalised.
