Woman convicted of murder in 2019 stabbing death of boyfriend at Fairfield home

The Jefferson County Bessemer Cutoff jury found Jammie LaJoyce Hughes guilty of murder in the slaying of 35-year-old Sidell Alstan Erskine. The jury rejected Hughes’s self-defense claim.
