Mandy Horvath of Smithville, Missouri just accomplished something very impressive - scaling Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Oh, and did we mention that Mandy has no legs? Horvath lost both of her legs in a train accident in 2014. She battled PSTSD and alcoholism but found peace in mountain climbing.
At 28, Horvath has already scaled Pikes Peak and Colorado's Manitou Incline - and now the 19,000-foot Kilimanjaro, the world's tallest free-standing mountain. The climb took eight days crawling on her hands - which were "so swollen I could barely get my bags open".
Is it unusual?
