Woman charged with hitting child at Columbia school bus stop
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Prosecutors have charged a woman with failing to stop for a school bus and injuring a child after she allegedly hit a boy at a southeast Columbia bus stop.
Boone County deputies arrested Nancy P. Metz, 19, of Columbia on Wednesday after a 10-year-old New Haven Elementary student was hit at a bus stop in the 4000 block of South Ponderosa Street. The boy had minor injuries, authorities said.
The school bus was stopped to pick up students when a black Lexus hit the 10-year-old crossing the street, the Boone County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday.
