MONTVILLE, CT — A Rhode Island woman was charged after police said she drove the wrong way on Route 2A and I-395 for about 10 miles. Madison Jamak, 25, of 54 Jane St. in North Providence, was charged with reckless driving, DUI, and second-degree reckless endangerment.
State police received a call at about 2:50 a.m. Wednesday reporting a car driving the wrong way on Route 2A in Montville. Police were not able to locate the car initially.
A short while later, troopers found car traveling northbound in the southbound lane in the area of Exit 14 on I-395.

Troopers' initial efforts to get the driver to stop were unsuccessful. As the car approached Exit 18, troopers place themselves in the direct path of the car, causing it to stop.
